I wanted to introduce everyone to a new Youtube channel called Japon BuraBura. It's by a very long time Japan resident and wicked great videographer and researcher who delves into those parts of Japan you don't often see or hear about.Remember my dream to fix up a van and travel across Japan doing research and whatnot? Well, he was doing something similar at the same time I mentioned it! Only he hadn't started the channel yet. It's in French, which is delightful to listen to, but just click on the CC on Youtube and subtitles come up. Now there are two videos up at the moment: The Giant Shogi Battle in Tendo and The Kodo Fire Festival on Noto-- yes, that Noto. He was there before the big earthquake.

More videos coming! I think you'll enjoy them a lot. XO,

Thank you so much Thersa for your kind words 😍. I hope that your Patreons will find my YouTube channel interesting too, we have so much in common. As for Uncanny Japan, it's the best show on earth about Japanese culture. Thank you for putting it together with such regularity, it's always a great pleasure to listen to your episodes and I learn a lot through any of them. Phenomenal work!

This is fantastic! Now I can practise my French *and* learn about Japan at the same time. Thank you! C'est génial! Je m'exerce à écouter le français en même temps que j'apprends quelque chose sur le Japon. Merci beaucoup.

You're like my long lost brother! Or twin! But I don't look good in a beret 🥰 Thank you for the sweet words and you're work is out of this world. I'm looking forward to everything you do.

Thank you so much Joanna. I hope you'll enjoy the channel *and* become fluent in French 😅.
