I changed the payment method to another credit card and it worked apparently

Yes, I think one would definitely notice and Patreon should have sent at least an email already. Yours went through finely anyway!

Apparently after talking to my bank it was declined because patreons transaction location was moved out of the US to the UK and my bank is VERY picky about those kind of transactions and require calls ahead to validate them beforehand. If I was patreon i'd recommend they set up so that transactions occur if possible, locally to whatever country a payment is registered to come from as to not trip the global bankers alarm
