Character Rework || EvilEye (Patreon)

I'm combined all the red dudes into one person

The first dude, (referring to the 2nd pic) EvilEye, is one of my oldest ocs (hints the name lmao) the other 2 (Gear and Blaze) are really just randos the more I think about it XD

So here's why i made them in the first place:

EvilEye was made back in... 2008? He was Spyro's rival and son of Malefor. Le evil stinky bad guyyy oOoOo. Then back in 2019 he was brought back as a Rodan knock-off (i swear post KOTM was an awkward time XD)

Gear was originally created with Aris as test subjects (BIG update for her will be shown later). Gear was made when Undertale came out, so take a WILD guess which character he's based on. Then in 2019 he was remade for a scrapped LotR esk story idea thing

Blaze was created in 2018. They were a copy n pasted of Dawn (Clever at the time) at first, then just turned into her fiery bodyguard. Overtime however, their personality turned into a copy-paste of another oc, Ashir. So... Blaze, in the end, had an identity crisis and really shouldn't have been made in the first place. I copy-n-pasted Dawn and just gave her fiery cool colors. Boom new OC

I clearly made all these guys when I was a kid. Having wayyy too many characters/duplicates of them never crossed the mind. Now that I'm older...yeah that stuff matters. Especially when I'd like to make stuff with them in the future when I have a much clearer vision of what I want to do.

So for the combination, I use Evileye as a primary base. I then use aspects from the other 2 (like Gear's metal arm and Blaze's drip n colors) Fiddled around then I got this look! EvilEye the oldest oc of mine and more dear to me for nostalgic reasons so it was fair to basically repurpose him and get him out of oc purgatory. While working on him, it was like seeing an old edgy friend ^^

Personality hasn't really been thought about yet. But the vibe I've been getting while drawing him out was someone who was wronged, he's angry about something...maybe he's pissed at Crystal and Nazar for their experimentations on him and his kind? His relationships, not sure either. Going off the characters who got combined, he might be friends with Claire and Aries We shall see!
