OC Update! (Crystal, Sheba, and EvilEye) (Patreon)

WHAT'S NEW?

.: Crystal :.

Crystal is a real old character of mine created back in 2013 (Not as old as Sheba and Sparkles THOSE gals were my first characters created back in the late 2000's) Things change over time via new ideas and trial n error. When I wanted to stick with her and eventually transform into a beastly fox, her design never sat right with me. Then when I created Inari, it was pointed out to me that she looked like she could be Crystal's sister and some people were confusing Inari with Crystal... So Crystal was in a dire need of originality.

Crystal is still a tyrannical queen, killed one of her sisters and maul the other for the throne. Now she's partnered up with Nazar to sell some of his Drakir for experimental testing. If successful, they'll be weapons for both leaders. So I thought: If she's doing all these experiments on others, what's stopping her from doing some on herself to become more powerful?

What's new design wise? 

She still has her mask that's imbedded into her face (via fancy neon roots this time)

Still has her big ol crystal but now it functions as a power source

external spine to help support her 3 tails

Arm/leg braces (YES I clearly was inspired by Portal) attached to a set of double claws

Metal covers imbedded in her neck and hips (easier access for operations within her body

Finally... NEW COLORS! She kinda didn't have a consistent color palette. She just got progressively darker and redder over time lmao

.: Sheba :.

(excuse the crap quality on her oldest pic. I took it with a 3DS ages ago lmao) Not much new with her but her drip changed. It's a mix of her original and newer outfit. On top of that, she's now a wandering traveler! So she runs into a lot of things on her journeys!

.: EvilEye :.

I combined all the red dudes into one person.

The fiery dude in the first pic, (referring to the collage of pics) EvilEye, is one of my oldest ocs (hints the name lmao) the other 2 (Gear and Blaze) are really just randos the more I think about it XD

For more context, here's why I made them in the first place:

EvilEye was made back in... 2008? He was Spyro's rival and son of Malefor. Le evil stinky bad guyyy oOoOo. Then back in 2019, he was brought back as a Rodan knock-off (I swear post KOTM was an awkward time XD)

Gear was originally created with Aris as test subjects (a BIG update for her will be shown later). Gear was made when Undertale came out, so take a WILD guess which character he's based on. Then in 2019 he was remade for a scrapped idea.

Blaze was created in 2018. They were a copy and paste of Dawn at first who was just her fiery bodyguard. Overtime however, their personality turned into a copy-paste of another oc, Ashir. So... Blaze, in the end, had an identity crisis and really shouldn't have been made in the first place. I only kept them around because they looked cool XD

I clearly made all these guys when I was a kid. Having wayyy too many characters/duplicates of them never crossed my mind. Now that I'm older...yeah that stuff matters. Especially when I'd like to make drawings with them in the future when I have a much clearer vision of what I want to do.

So for the combination, I use Evileye as a primary base. I then used aspects from the other 2 (like Gear's metal arm and Blaze's drip n colors) Fiddled around then I got this look! EvilEye is one of my oldest OCs and more dear to me for nostalgic reasons so it was fair to basically repurpose him and get him out of OC purgatory. He’ll be a part of Claire and Oran’s lil team. While working on him, it was like seeing an old edgy friend ^^
