I’m with you. I love swashbuckler characters. I’m completely delighted with swashbuckler Knox. For this idea, I should have said, I am picturing someone like Jean Tannen, from the Locke Lamora books. A stocky, noncomical agile fighter, maybe with glasses... extra awesome if the hands were modular to include a pair of hatchets, as well as the option for more traditional rapier or small sword or what have you.

Badass: rough, scarred up halfling or faerie cavalier riding a (winged?) bear. Bard: Elf Skald dual wielding maces that uses enemy skulls for percussion. Or a half-orc wielding a full size harp.
