Happy Holidays! 🎄 It hasn't been long since the last update, but thanks to your incredible support, I've been working non-stop. Today, I'm thrilled to introduce Cinematic Cut-ins v1.2!

This update focuses on "Freedom" and "Collaboration." You can now design your own cut-ins from scratch using custom assets and synchronize moments with your players perfectly.

🚀 New Features

🎨 Unlimited Creativity: Custom Assets

Custom Decoration Layers: You are no longer limited to the built-in themes. You can now upload your own Images or Videos (WebM/MP4) to the Background and Overlay layers.

Video Avatars: The module now fully supports video files for character portraits. Bring your cut-ins to life with moving avatars!

Clean Mode (Hide Banner): Want a minimalist look? You can now toggle off the default theme "Banner" to use only your character and custom effects.

Custom Duration: You now have full control over how long the animation stays on screen.

🤝 Interactive Cues

The GM sets the stage, the Player pulls the trigger! Instead of automating everything, the GM can now send a "Ready" signal to a specific player's screen.

This allows the player to manually unleash their cut-in exactly when the roleplay peaks, creating a perfect collaborative moment.

✨ New Themes

New All-Out Attack Theme: "Arcane": A mystical, magic-circle-inspired theme perfect for high-fantasy finishers.

New Personal Themes:

Burst: A high-impact, center-focused skill style with a unique bracket-closing effect.

Blossom: A beautiful, floral aesthetic.

Slash: A sharp, diagonal cut style for fast-paced action.

⚙️ Quality of Life & Logic

Skip Function: Too many animations piling up? Players can now click to skip cut-ins when the action gets too intense.

Dimming Control: Adjust the intensity of the screen darkening effect to suit your game's atmosphere.

Absolute Value Triggers: Resource triggers (like HP/MP) now support Flat Numbers (e.g., HP < 10) in addition to Percentages.

Safety Protocols: Added defense code to "Advanced Formula" triggers to prevent critical errors.

🐛 Bug Fixes

Scope Theme: Fixed a bug where the ending animation timing was desynchronized between the character and the banner.

Arcane Theme: Fixed an issue where the "disappearing circle" animation was missing in the personal version.

Midi-QOL: Fixed an error where unused input fields appeared in the "Midi: Critical" trigger configuration.

All-Out Attack: Fixed a bug where the text color for the Center Message was not saving or displaying correctly.

Localization: Fixed an issue where the Korean language file was not loading or displaying correctly in certain UI elements.

Get immediate access to the module (Patreon): ➡️ https://www.patreon.com/cw/glitchsmith Hi everyone! Cinematic Cut-ins v1.2 is here. Since the first release, I’ve been reading all your feedback and working to make the module more flexible and fun for both GMs and players. This video covers the new features added in v1.1 and v1.2. The focus of this update is "Freedom." Now, you’re not just limited to the built-in themes—you can use your own assets and collaborate with your players to time the effects perfectly. 🚀 What’s New (v1.1 & v1.2 Highlights) 🎨 Make it your own: Custom Asset Support Use your own Files: You can now upload your own Images or Videos (WebM/MP4) to the background and overlay layers. You can even design a cut-in from scratch! Moving Portraits: Character portraits now support video files. It's a small change that makes your tokens feel much more alive during their big moments. Clean Mode: If you prefer a minimalist look, you can now hide the default banners and just use your character with custom effects. 🤝 Sync up with your Players: Interaction Prompts Instead of everything happening automatically, GMs can now send a "Ready?" prompt to a player. This lets the player trigger their own cut-in manually when the roleplay feels just right. It’s a great way to keep everyone engaged. ✨ New Style Options Arcane (Group): A magic-circle theme for those epic party finishers. Blossom & Slash (Personal): Added an elegant floral style and a sharp diagonal cut style for faster action. Scope & Blitz: New layouts for dramatic reveals and quick skill pop-outs. 🖌️ Efficiency Tools Global Styles: You can now save your favorite custom designs as templates and apply them to other characters instantly. Multiple Triggers: Items can now have more than one trigger (e.g., a different effect for a normal hit vs. a critical hit). ⚙️ Small but Helpful Fixes Skip Button: Finally added a button to skip animations if things get too crowded. Trigger Logic: Resource triggers (HP/MP) now support flat numbers along with percentages. Screen Controls: Added more control over screen dimming and position (X/Y) for all themes. 📱 Compatibility Foundry VTT: v12 & v13 Systems: System-Agnostic (Works with D&D 5e, PF2e, Starfinder, Cyberpunk, and more.) 🔗 Links Support the project on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/cw/glitchsmith I’m always looking for new ideas and feedback to improve the module. Hi, thank you for the great v1.2 update! After updating, I noticed that a rectangular outline/border now appears around the character illustration in the cut-in (around the avatar area). This border was not present in the previous version, and it shows up even when using the same settings as before. For reference, I am currently using Foundry VTT v12. I was wondering if this is an intended change in v1.2, or if there is a setting to disable or hide this outline. Thanks again for your hard work on this module!

Hi Simada! Thanks for the report. This was a CSS bug specific to Foundry v12 that I missed during the v1.2.0 update. I have just released v1.2.1 which fixes this unwanted border issue. Please update the module and it should be gone! 😄

Thank you so much for the quick fix and the update! I really appreciate how fast you looked into this and resolved it. I’ve updated the module and can confirm that the issue is now fixed on my end. Thanks again for the great work on this module!

Hi there! Just joined, and I'm loving the module so far! However, I'm stuck on a technical issue, and would appreciate your help. (Apologies-- I'm on mobile, and am struggling with line breaks). Basically: when writing an "advanced formula" trigger, what variables/objects are stored in the d[] array? I'm trying to write a trigger which will fire when the second die rolls its maximum value, doing something like "d[1].faces==d[1]" but it's not triggering; even just "d[1].faces", which should trigger on ANY roll, isn't doing it. (Trying to treat d[] like it's full of DieTerm objects)
