v1.5.0 introduces powerful new visual triggers, global font customization, and Macro Description Editing.

✨ New Features

🎭 Dynamic Portraits: Status Effects Your character portraits can now react to status conditions, not just health!

Status Triggers: Set portrait rules based on Status Effects (e.g., Poisoned, Prone, Dead, Invisible).

Priority System: Status-based rules take priority over stat-based rules (like HP thresholds).

Visual Feedback: Instantly see when a character is affected by a condition directly on their HUD portrait.

🎨 Font Customization Customize your HUD's typography with new global font settings!

Header & Body Fonts: Independently configure fonts for character names (Header) and stats/labels (Body).

Theme Support: Works across all themes.

Live Preview: See your font changes instantly in the configuration menu.

🏃 PF2e Enhancements Pathfinder 2e players get better movement tracking.

Multiple Movement Speeds: The HUD now dynamically tracks all available movement speeds found on the actor.

📝 Macro Description Editing You can now customize the tooltip description for any macro in your HUD.

Right-Click to Edit: Simply right-click any macro in the Action Menu to open the editor.

Per-Actor Overrides: Descriptions are saved to the actor, allowing different flavor text for different characters.

🔍 Card Scale You can now adjust the size of individual character cards!

Per-Actor Scale: Perfect for making main characters standard size and familiars smaller (e.g., 0.6x).

Visual Zoom: Scales the entire card interface, including text and buttons.

⚙️ Improvements

Finding the right attribute to track is now much easier!

Searchable Attribute List: The attribute selection dropdown is now fully searchable by name (hp) or data path.

Smart Sorting: The list is now sorted alphabetically by Attribute Name.

Better Dropdowns: Fixed UI issues where long lists were being cut off.

D&D 5e Roll Dialogs: Skip modifier keys (Shift/Ctrl/Alt) now pass through correctly for faster rolling.

Is there anything special you need to do to enable the HP bars and such? I am currently in a PF2e world and while the actor hud shows up, the what I assume is the party HUD does not. In Style & Layout the visibility is set to 'Always' as well. EDIT: Seems that while the Global setting had Stat Tracking, I had to manually configure it for the PCs in question before it started rendering. Odd

Hi there, fantastic work! I am having an issue in Pathfinder 2e with all versions of Stylish Action HUD that I've played (v 1.4 & 1.5). A player character is a cleric and they get extra spell slots to cast either Heal or Harm at their highest spell rank due to a feature called Divine Font. The only way I know of to employ that feature is to manually add extra spell slots at the highest level and assign Heal or Harm spells to them. In this case, it's 5 extra spell slots, and casting them from the character sheet with these spells works fine. These added spell slots show as visible in the Spells section of the player HUD. They do not have a strikethrough and the spell slots are not expended. But when I attempt to cast these 5 spell slots from the player HUD, they do not cast and a message appears that reads: "Cannot cast Heal: slot is already expended." These spell slots are not truly expended. Any ideas? All other spellcasting works fine, including with this character. Thanks so much for all your work on this!

Actually, the behavior you encountered is intentional. Since some campaigns can have a huge number of Player Characters, the module allows you to manually filter and add only the specific actors you want to display on the HUD. It’s a feature to keep the UI clean rather than a bug!

I'll look into the issue and check what's going on. If you'd like to provide a more detailed report to help speed up the fix, please join my Discord. You can access it by linking your Discord account to your Patreon.

Update: I've just released v1.5.2, which automates this process! 1. On new installs, the module now auto-populates the Party HUD with all existing PCs. 2. Any newly created PCs (or actors granted player ownership) will now be automatically added to the HUD. You can still manually filter them in the config if needed, but you won't have to "start from scratch" anymore!

Hi, I love the work so far! I currently have issues with the Menu with which my players take actions appearing offscreen or nearly offscreen, is there any way I can solve this?

The Glitch Smith

Hi Brandon, thank you for the kind words! To solve this, please make sure you have updated the module to the latest version. Then, ensure that your players have Layout Edit permissions (this should be enabled by default in the configuration). With this permission, players can enter Layout Edit Mode and manually drag the Action Menu to a more comfortable position that fits their screen. This should prevent the menu from appearing offscreen! Update: Just a quick heads-up! Starting from v1.5.4, I’ve made this even easier. Now, your players can simply long-press (click and hold) the Action Menu to drag and reposition it instantly without having to manually enter Layout Edit Mode.

Some Actors/Players dont show up but familiars of others do

Check your settings to see which actors are enabled. The missing players are likely hidden because those specific actors are disabled.

Before the Lore

Hello, I wanted to say first off that I love this module! Though I have one question, I was wondering if it's possible to add custom fonts for the Action Menu portion of the module (I saw it's possible for the Party Hud, but changing those settings doesn't affect the Action Menu). If that's not currently a feature, can you add it in the future?

The Glitch Smith

Glad you're enjoying the module! You're right—currently, the font settings for the Party HUD and Action Menu are handled separately, and the Action Menu doesn't have a custom font option yet. I think it's a great idea, so I'll look into adding custom font support for the Action Menu in a future update. Thanks for the suggestion!

For some reason, I can't actually use any of the actions in the action menu. I'll left click on a spell, for example, and it will play the sound effect but not actually do anything whatsoever.

The Glitch Smith

I'm afraid I cannot provide any assistance with just that information. To help you, I need the following details: 1. Which Game System are you using? 2. What is your System Version? 3. What is your Foundry VTT Version? 4. Please press F12, go to the Console tab, trigger the action again, and let me know what specific error messages (red text) appear.
