v2.0.0 introduces a signal system that lets GMs control where phones work and where they don't. Scenes and regions can block or weaken signal, affecting messaging and phone calls in different ways. This update also adds custom frame themes with real-time preview and a handful of quality-of-life improvements.

πŸ“‘ Signal System

GMs can now set signal levels per scene or per region: Full, Weak, or No Signal.

Right-click a scene in the sidebar and select "Smartphone Widget Settings" to configure signal level.

No Signal disables all communications. Messages typed in a dead zone are queued locally with a clock icon and sent automatically when signal returns. Messages sent to a phone in a dead zone are stored but hidden until the recipient moves to a covered area β€” then they all arrive at once with staggered toast notifications.

Phone calls to a dead zone are auto-rejected after a brief delay, and a missed call record is saved for the recipient.

The status bar icon updates to reflect the current signal state: white for full, yellow blink for weak, red slashed for none.

Signal Dead Zone (V13): A Region Behavior type that lets you draw signal-affected areas directly on the map. Each region can be set to No Signal or Weak Signal with its own parameters.

πŸ“Ά Weak Signal Mode

An intermediate signal state with GM-configurable effects. All parameters are adjustable per scene and per region.

Message Delay: Messages take 2–5 seconds to send, showing a "sending..." indicator while in transit.

Random Send Failure: A configurable chance (default 30%) for messages to fail. Failed messages display a red icon and a "Retry" button.

Call Drop: Active calls can randomly disconnect at configurable intervals. The drop timer starts when the call is answered, not when it's placed. Both caller and recipient see a notification explaining what happened.

πŸ“‘ Satellite Phone

GMs can mark any phone as a satellite phone through the device management context menu. Satellite phones are immune to all signal blocking β€” scene-wide and region-based. Useful for special story items like military radios or emergency devices.

🎨 Custom Frame Themes

Create your own phone frames with uploaded images and color settings.

Upload a frame overlay image (transparent PNG recommended, base screen size 305Γ—600px) that sits on top of the phone screen. Adjust frame padding and corner radius with sliders to fit the image.

Set clock color, icon color, and status bar background to match the frame.

All changes preview in real time as you adjust β€” save when it looks right.

Create multiple named themes and switch between them freely. Themes are stored as a shared library across all phones.

Export themes as ZIP packages (frame image included) and import them on other worlds or share with other GMs.

πŸ”’ Quoted Literals in Number Formats

Phone number and bank account formats now support quoted text that won't be randomized. Wrap fixed text in double quotes:

"ARASAKA"-NNN-NNN-NNN produces ARASAKA-482-193-756

"SEC"-NNNN produces SEC-8273

Existing formats without quotes continue to work exactly as before.

πŸ”§ Other Improvements

Bulk Link Phone Filter: A "With phone only" toggle in the bulk contact linker hides actors that don't have a phone yet.

Discord Link: A Discord server button in module settings for quick access to support and feedback.

πŸ› Bug Fixes

Fixed missing button styling on the "Select All" button in the bulk contact linker.

Hello, once again, amazing job! I would like to share some bugs and feature ideas if you don't mind. Bugs: - Scanner apps is not working with manual results - Whenever you hit "Send results manual" on the scanner app I won't do anything. Even if you select the button and press enter, it says something like 'Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'callback')'. If you have a discord channe i could share the screenshot of this. - Unboxing the Mistery - When you configure a puzzle on a tile it triggers the tile right away and shows the puzzle at the same time. I don't know if it is intended but I think it should wait until the player solves the puzzle and then trigger the tile, otherwise it may make no sense. - Unboxing the mistery - Tiles are clickable and appear on the map even if the player doesn't have direct sight of it. This is specially noticeable with modules like Levels from Thereaper93. Or maybe this is now intentended to work along with elevation. - Unboxing the mistery - I did notice that players can interact infinitely with some puzzles such as the smah puzzle. They can click on it, smah the puzzle, take the loot and do it again ifinitely. - Unboxing the Mistery - Hiding the puzzle tile does not prevent a player from interacting with it as they may still see the interaction box when they hover the mouse over it. - Smartphone widget - I don't know if i'm just blind or there's something i'm missing, but phone calls doesn't seem to be working on the app. You can call and the phone on the player's side will ring, but audio is not coming in or out. And i think that's all about for now on bugs. Now. I would like to make some feature request if you would allow me: - Stylish Action HUD - An inventory manager expansion would be greatly appreciated. Kinda like, resident evil and stuff and implementation with unboxing the mistery would be really great. having limited space on the inventory and adding some kind of backpacks or cases to add inventory slots would be really amazing. - Stylish Action HUD - Ammo manager would be amazing too. Maybe like allowing the master to configure a weapon with a magazine and when it runs out, the player would have the prompt for reloading and then send a message on the chat log that the player reloaded a weapon. - Smartphone Widget - A minimap feature would be nice, for interconeccted maps. Maybe open an interface and start configuring the layout of your map. Then the player can check the map app on the smartphone and know exactly where they are. Or even do it locally. Like opening an interface and attaching a region to a point on the map, so it shows where the player is within the scene. - Unboxing the Mistery - adding DC to the players when they first open a puzzle for allowing interaction. Kinda like, if a player wants to lockpick a Door, they would need to pass a Sleight of hand check first and then interact with the puzzle. Or maybe, make the puzze be harder or easier depending on the check result. Also, not the same module, but related, implementing the same on the scanner app would be nice. So they have to make a check of "intelligence" first, for example. - Smartphone Widget - Adding a simple camera would be great. I don't know if it's doable, but allowing the player to take a "photo" (Either by uploading a file or opening a screnshot tool) would be very nice. Thanks again for all the great job, these are only suggestions from a person that is really amazed with your job.
