v2.5.0 adds two built-in HUD themes, compact-mode size/color controls, custom resource stages, and new status icon layout options. This update also adds card quick-edit tools, D&D5e action grouping, and several fixes for Foundry V14, PF1, and theme behavior.

⚔️ Zenith and Rift Themes

Two new themes are available from the theme selector.

Zenith uses a no-panel shard composition with a rotated portrait chip, ink ribbon nameplate, shard-style gauges, and angular action menu styling.

Rift uses an ornate combat frame with a circular portrait medallion, tapered stacked bars, portrait-side status dots, and engraved serif labels.

Both themes include their own compact-mode styling, so collapsed cards keep the theme shape instead of falling back to a generic square.

🎚️ Custom Resource Stages

Each tracked attribute can now define its own named stages and percentage thresholds.

Label colors and bar colors are configured separately, so a resource can show one color in its qualitative text and another color in the bar fill.

Resource bar threshold colors can now change by stage per tracked attribute instead of using one shared bar color rule.

📦 Compact Resource Display

Collapsed cards can show resource data without expanding the full card.

Compact Mode can show up to two resource mini bars while a card is collapsed.

Compact Resource Icons can show a configured icon plus the resource value without the label.

🎨 Compact Card Appearance

Collapsed card shape and colors can now be configured directly.

Width, height, border radius, border color, and background color can be set globally or per actor.

Blank width/height fields use the existing collapse size.

The built-in themes now route compact-card appearance through these controls instead of limiting the behavior to the Image theme.

🔤 Bar Text Layout

Bar-style tracked attributes can now change how their label and value text sit on the bar.

Label and value text can be rotated by a configured angle.

Either text field can switch to vertical top-to-bottom writing.

💥 Per-Attribute Hit Feedback

Each tracked attribute now has a toggle for card hit feedback.

If at least one attribute opts in, the card flash only fires when one of those selected values changes.

If no attribute opts in, the previous behavior is kept: any tracked value change can trigger the flash.

🧭 Card and Roster Controls

Several card-management actions are now available without digging through the full settings panel.

Right-click a HUD card to open that card's settings, move it up or down in Stack layout, or remove it from the HUD.

The settings panel now includes a HUD Roster Order list for reordering selected roster actors before saving.

Cards can use token names when no custom display-name override is set.

🧿 Status Icon Layout

Condition/status icons now have their own layout control.

Icons can be shown horizontally, stacked vertically, or hidden.

The setting is available globally and per card.

🧩 D&D5e Action Grouping

D&D5e Features can now be split by activation type.

The new D&D5e-only setting creates left-sidebar tabs such as Action, Bonus, Reaction, Legendary, Mythic, Lair, Crew, Special, Time, and Other.

The setting is off by default, so existing worlds keep the single Actions tab unless enabled.

Bug Fixes

Hit Feedback on Iron Theme: Card flash animation now works on the Iron theme while preserving the card skew during the flash.

Status Icons on Foundry V14: Condition icons now appear again for D&D 5e and other systems using the default adapter. The HUD now collects active effects that have a duration or a status.

Status Icon Markup Safety: Effect IDs, names, image paths, and inline values are escaped before rendering condition/status icons.

PF1 Tracked Item Charges: Editing item-charge resources now routes updates to the owning item's charges and refuses to write derived-only actor data paths.
