Hey Peaches! Time for another movie Jay thought he saw, but turns out he didn't. It's the story that never ends, it goes on and on my friends. Watch as Jay slowly loses his mind as the movie goes on until the famous 4th wall break shatters his mind. This one is a ton of fun.

Never Ending Story Watch Along

Have they been reading my favorite movie diary again? I’m so pumped to watch this!!

The Emerald Duchess

Turn around Look at what you see.... In her face The mirror of your dreams.... Make believe I'm everywhere Given in the light Written on the pages Is the answer to a never ending story... Ah.... Reach the stars Fly a fantasy.... Dream a dream And what you see will be.... Rhymes that keep their secrets Will unfold behind the clouds And there upon a rainbow Is the answer to a never ending story... Ah.... Story... Ah.... THIS WAS MY JAM as a small child

Brian McQueary

May I just mention that I LOVE that Adam is rocking a Krull tee? Wait…Jay hasn’t seen it? Get to it, young man!

Memento Mori

That is a wild name. Momma was clearly a child of the 60's...or her parents were.

Memento Mori

So, I remember watching this movie as a very little girl. Aside from the TRAUMA of that horse scene, all I remember is a pretty princess (that I totally wanted to be when I got older), dragon riding adventures, cute race snails, a hungry rock man, and a turtle who's voice sounded suspiciously like my grandma. Adult me was totally unprepared for the way grief and depression weave throughout this story. The swamp of sadness where despair just sucks you down and being unable to save someone who couldn't make themselves go on? The medicine given to Atreyu that makes you "hurt so you can heal"? The man of stone gazing at his strong hands and marveling that they weren't strong enough to keep his friends from slipping away? The boy rejecting his father's words to "keep your feet on the ground" and choosing to keep his mother alive in his imagination by giving her name to the Empress? Holy moly. They DO NOT make kids movies like this anymore.

In Jay's recollections of movies he thought he saw, he might have been thinking of trailers for NeverEnding Story 2, where Bastian DOES get sucked into the book.

FiddleFaddle

Oh man, I got stuck up to my waist in mud like that. The other kids were too busy trying to find wood for a fort. I ended up having to low-crawl my way out.

FiddleFaddle

Man this is bringing back all the good feels. As a kid all I wanted more than anything was a Luck Dragon.

Context for why this movie, as Jay would put it, is buck wild, even by 80s children's movie standards: it's actually a German movie.

FiddleFaddle

Everyone's like "her name is Moonchild." But let's be honest: in the 80s, NONE of us knew what her name was.

FiddleFaddle

That was pretty great guys! Jay, I'm still SHOCKED it took this long, but I'm so very glad it did!

FiddleFaddle

Jay, you're not a part of this NOW. You were ALWAYS a part of Fantasia.

David Crabtree

Are you guys ever going to do the 2nd season of Masters of the Universe (Revolution)? You seemed to really enjoy the first season.

Stephanie Krutsick

I just watched this video for the first time. Now I see you did Labyrinth as well (which is my favorite movie of all time and I will hear nothing otherwise), even though I haven’t watched your review yet and will still probably laugh my ass off and forgive you for any criticisms. But now you need to do Return To Oz. Do it. I dare you. Return. To. Oz. I love it. Do it.

Stephanie Krutsick

Also Legend. DO LEGEND. DO THE EIGHTIES FANTASY ROYALTY.
