Lore Dump 2/8: Gondor does not exist yet. Elendil and his sons found it after… stuff happens (don’t want to spoil the show). The two wizards are probably (hopefully) the two Blue wizards who are out in the East. Tolkien wrote that they went bad originally and started cults to Sauron/Morgoth, then changed it to them being good, so the showrunners might just be giving us one of each. The moonlight-glowing stuff (ithildin, I think it’s spelled) is the material used on the doors to Moria. Celebrimbor makes them with Narvi (the dwarf who gives King Durin the report before Disa sings). Fun fact, Annatar literally translates to “Lord of Gifts,” which is a lot better than Sauron, which means “Foul One.” So yes, the name of the big bad of LotR is just “Stinky.”😁

Its sad that yall just want this show to be a whole different show. Its never going to be "fast" enough for you two and it shouldn't. Its just not for you I guess.

Like saying "that took forever" about Galadriel saying that the ring gave her visions is crazy. We got shown the vision and we learned in the literal next conversation. If you cannot handle two elves talking how they should talk without complaining then you will never be happy.

They'll never get to it in the show, but it's funny to see how Galadriel and Elrond interact knowing she's his eventual mother-in-law lol. Not to mention she's canonically older than him, the high king, and even Celebrimbor. I know they wanted to use a known name for one of the leading stars of the show, but I really would've liked to see Galadriel as she was described in the books and have the show version of her be a new character created for the show. I struggled to even get through the first book, so I'm hardly a Tolkien fanatic when it comes to the plot, but she always seemed like such an interesting character given how much magical power she wielded in her own right.
