Hey Peaches! After the explosive start to the season, our main cast starts their journeys to their first destinations of the season. How's Two Rivers been holding up since season 1? How far away is the Aiel wastelands? And how many initiates can Elaine's brothers bed in their, supposed, short stay at the tower? Also, Mommy Queen Trakand is scary!

The introduction of Morgase and her family was just extravagant. Just wonderful, the costuming is on another level and the cast just keeps delivering. Absolutely love it.

Elayne and Aviendha were extremely close in the books. It was much more of a sisterhood thing on the text but sub-textually it was very queer coded. There are only so many times they could brush each others hair, share baths and beds together otherwise lol. I do like the change for the show though.

I absolutely loved this episode and reaction!

There is a lot of subtext (as it was in the era of publishers preventing gay or bi characters however not confirmed in book

Also Rand is also doing 4th book stuff!

Lovely watching with you! I agree: this just flows so well, a huge step up. It just feels like Wheel of Time from start to finish. Adam: a lil rule of thumb on how they're adapting different books out of order - we're guessing Tear is pushed back until after The Shadow Rising. Y'know how Moiraine is pushing him to prioritize Illian at the start of that book? Well, we've basically swapped that for Moiraine having tried to get him to do Tear first. (Hope that makes sense, trying to keep it to "if you know, you know" statements.) And for Jay - I think you interpreted Egwene's mom as saying that the original Trolloc attack was just a few months ago. But they've been gone like a year and a half; that original attack way back at the beginning was a long time ago. She meant that smaller Trolloc raids just started up again recently. And for both of you.... I'm so glad you're liking this new character, Gaebril! I'm so very glad this long-standing member of their family has finally been brought in for this season, since he's definitely been the Queen's consort for a decade or so, and he's just an all-around nice guy! :D

they really stepped up the quality this season after the problems of the first 2 hope we get a season 4

So glad you mention how important Gaebril is to the Trakands, people always forget about him 👀😂 Not the step dad but the dad who stepped up

It's tough when the reality is sometimes the show simply needs to omit or merge side characters or events or whatever for the sake of the greater story, but it's nice that so many of the interesting side characters still at least get to show up.
