Hey Peaches! It's our penultimate episode of Bluey (for now.) We reminisce about growing up with trying to get on camera and playing with slip n' slides. Then we watch Cricket, which has the desired affect on Jay. And then the mystery begins in Ghost Basket. What's going on? The Heelers are moving?!?!?

Ok Jay, I had to stop even though I haven’t seen the cricket part of your reaction yet. But you practicing your Reading Rainbow routine in the mirror is so wonderful. Your mom probably thought that was the cutest thing she ever saw. I would 😂

I want to hear more about Legends of the Hidden Temple than Guts. Bro get that piece of the icon

Re: cricket. I’m sure you’ll see this in the comments everywhere, but in case I’m the first one 😅 At the end of cricket, Rusty is wearing a uniform indicating he’s in a game representing Australia as a country in an international match… and he comes out alone instead of with the rest of the team, indicating he’s the best batsman on the team. So not only does he become a professional cricket player, he becomes the best batsman in Australia.

The question is not "will Jay be okay for The Sign." I guarantee you the answer is 'no.' The questions are, A) will Adam be okay, and B) what insights will the two of you- specifically Jay- have on the episode and how it plays out. Obviously moving is a big thing for kids, and from what I've gleaned up on, Jay did that a lot more than Adam growing up (if Adam did it at all), so Jay will have some life experiences that it might resonate with. But the chief question is about Adam, because Jay- and we love you for it- wears his heart on his sleeves and is proud to be emotional, but they, uh, know how to really play your emotions like a song. And remember: it's not the last episode (setting aside possible S4 and of course The Movie)! Bonus Bits (from YouTube) and Minisodes still to come! Combined those will probably exceed the length of a standard episode. But yeah the mere ending of Ghostbasket hit me like a goddamn truck and I was like "wait they couldn't possibly actually be moving..." I stressed about it for a week. (I have OCD so tend to obsess sometimes and Bluey wiggled into my obsessions a bit.)

Also it is really funny to think in on all the implications of how despite being dogs the world is still one-to-one. Like in Grouchy Grannies. One of Doreen's items is a Charles/Diana commemorative wedding plate. It's clearly recognizably both of them, just... dogs. But what about that beautiful statue Jay mentioned in the same episode- the one with the bipedal dog with chains. WHAT. IS. THE. IMPLICATION. OF. THAT. STATUE. Is it a reference to an obscure human art piece I'm unfamiliar with? Or does it have some... undertones? It's just funny sometimes to realize, as someone who adores worldbuilding, sometimes things either slip through, or they slid some cheeky stuff in there for the adults.

Yes Adam, I remember Finders Keepers. I had to look it up to make sure it was what I remembered. I especially remember the timed part at the end where they had to search the rooms and there were all those crazy things planted. Also, I remember other obscure Nickelodeon shows from the 80s, especially that show with the mannequin in the newsboys hat who lived in the department store.

1. you're worried about Australian bugs and spiders, but the top killer of Australians for the last 20 years are horses hahahahahahaha (ONE 100% confirmed death by spider in 40 years) 2. i remember finders keepers too (80s kids represent!) 3. Aussies have done peacekeeping stuff in Africa, could be there? (would still mean war/unrest tho)
