some fun shit about yavin 4 is its evil. I believe that's why the rebels were kinda sucumbing to fear and turning on each other.

I had the same thought, actually, there's some major dark side juju in that place. They're DEFINITELY a disorganized group of muppets, but I think it definitely was made worse by where they are.

As far as Tay goes, I think he was always angling at sparking things back up with Mon again. That's what he was really after, and on some level she knew that. She led him along and didn't think about what might happen if he got tired of waiting. His investments were falling through, his wife left him, but most of all, Mon wasn't giving him the attention he wanted from her. So he's like, "well if I'm not going to get you, I'm going to get SOMETHING out of this, so pay up" while getting wasted and throwing pity party temper tantrums and blabbing

nah, it was just a great example of what putting a rebellion together looks like. There are factions who fight amongst each other sometimes on how to proceed, other times because of dumb leadership or ideology. If you look at history of rebellion it's so spot on. I think they could've done the first two episodes as one(just so it's not so slow with the plotline) but it's a true and very spot on portrayal.
