Superman Watch Along

Comments

Gregory

IT'S HERE!!!

Adam Burt

Was so keen, and then found out the early release was US only. So now gonna keep this ready to watch when it drops in Australia in 6 days.

Smidge84

Yisss! I’ve been waiting for this one 🙌🏻

Nicolas Estrada

This is the first watch along I paid to watch only to find out I can’t really see what they’re watching and I have to buy the movie separately and play it along with them🫩

pReview'd with Adam and Jay

Absolutely understood, with copyright being what it is, it’s not responsible to post a feature length movie, even if it is along with a reaction. That being said, if you’re not into what we’re offering, feel free to send us a DM on here and we can issue you a refund.

Emerald Embers

“What a healing movie” YES. Yes! Exactly this! It felt like being rewarded for wanting to believe, wanting to be good, wanting to be kind, wanting to hope that a strong person - THE strongest person - can do the right thing just because it IS the right thing to do. God, I needed this movie, and I’m so so so glad you two loved it like I did ❤️❤️❤️. (It’s not out on streaming yet in the UK so I had to skim to the end for your thoughts, I’ll be syncing up my own copy as soon as it does come out here!)

MeloMatt15

Mixed feelings on this movie. It’s almost too jumbled and all over the place with a high trust that the audience can be dropped right into a story and go with the flow. It almost feels like a sequel. But it hits a lot of the right notes. Just not overly hyped. On par with Fantastic Four. Thunderbolts a much better movie imo though.

Adam Burt

Exactly. Means I know what I'm doing that day.

Wendigo Watermelon

This reaction dropped faster than a speeding bullet 🦸

Stephen Hert

I absolutely adored this movie! Mr. Terrific definitely stole the show, but having a Superman, that has his flaws, made me teary eyed. Everyone wants the stoic, I can do anything, Supes, but he has gotten his rear end kicked quite a few times and had to regroup. I'm glad they showed that side of him. I also enjoy how Superman is already established, and we didn't go through another origin story. Thought the side characters were great. Thought this movie was refreshing.

squizzle

What a ride. My only knock? So many chances for a "GET BONKED", and yet...

Mel G

I re-subbed just to watch this. Gonna rent it and watch with y'all after work tomorrow ❤️

Tay Schumaker

The message isn’t fake. Gunn confirmed its authentic.

Jen Smith

I have had the WORST week and this is going to make it SOOOOOO better!!! Yay!!!!

Alex Lutz (AdamsAppleAlex)

As much as Adam is aggressive with Superman…I’m him but with the Flash. I was worried about this movie for kicking off the new DCU. Once the theme song started playing, that title screen, and the costume with the red trucks, I know that DC is in good hands. Totally feels like justice league unlimited and I can’t not wait to see the Flash standing next to Superman with that costume. Unfortunately that won’t be till at least two more years 😭 Glad Adam got his Superman movie he wanted and that Jay enjoyed it just as much. Definitely one of my favorite reactions. Can’t wait for this DC journey with you guys 👍

Kara Quinn

So excited to watch this! I got so excited I instantly joined this tier and I forgot I needed my own copy. I don't need a refund tho! Happy to support yall and watch whenever the edited version comes out! From the comments it seems like you enjoyed it and I cant wait! <3 all the best!

Warren

I am over the moon that you guys loved this movie. Watching it for the first time was amazing but watching it again with you two made my night.

Ruby

I would rate this 5 out of 5 1A! 1A! 1A! 😆 this adaption of Superman is the best

Dimond360 _

Cheers and tears away! I'm so glad you guys loved this movie! Personally I wasn't much of a Superman fan going into this, I knew his lore but I hadn't directly followed his lore but man did I have a good time with this movie. I loved seeing Adam get excited at all the DC references even if I didn't know any of them, his hype told me everything I needed to know and Jay's emotion at the ending scene was just beautiful. I have no idea where this DC is going but honestly I'm here for it. I do believe Supergirl is next and if I am correct I believe James Gunn said something about a Superman and Supergirl team up story down the road which could be fun. Hopefully with Supergirl entering the mix we could learn a bit more about this world's Krypton and what was going on with that message and Jor El. Maybe Zod corrupted it or was somehow involved? IDK but I'm excited to find out and I'm even more excited to see how y'all react to it.

GameknightJ14

My favorite detail about this near-perfect movie is that Lex's lackey, Otis's last name is Berg. I'm so glad that you guys enjoyed this movie, and I can't wait to watch this with you guys tomorrow!

Billy Alston

Best Superman movie viewed by the best Reactors!

m1st3rjay82

I loved everything about this movie. It was also awesome seeing Christopher Reeve's son as a reporter during the kaiju fight. I'm truly excited for the rest of the DCU for a change. As always, it was fantastic seeing your reactions to all my favorite parts of the movie.

DocteurNS

Rewatching this movi a second time was exactly what I expected. First watch, I was put off by some of the humour and having to catch up to the characters, but I expected to like it more on second watch. And I very much did. Excellent movie

Christopher Jones

I so remember when Adam was hesitant to get his hopes up for the film after that first trailer. Well here we are.

Ravenpoe121

Being kind is punk rock, and that's pretty cool

Chaos Owner

In a galaxy far, far away Rebellions are built on Hope...and the DC universe is built on Superman's hope in humanity.

Andrew Jansson

Longtime listener, first time caller. lol no ok I just discovered you guys like 2 months ago on YouTube, been LOVING you both, got the Patreon today. LOVED watching this again with you guys. Sorry if this has been covered before, but have you two both seen the series Young Justice? I can’t recommend it enough, and (especially) if either of you haven’t seen it yet I think it would be amazing content to do a first-time watch!

pReview'd with Adam and Jay

Welcome to the Patreon! Thanks for the support, and we hope you enjoy the staggering amount of watchalongs that are on here!

Ryan Garner

Just joined to get here early! I loved the reaction! (I'm trying out this first month here, I'll see how I like it. :) ) James Gunn uploaded the Hall of Justice mural on instagram. There's also some great BTS scenes there. I loved this movie so much, just like you guys. (I only have a few notes for the movie, but that was it.)

pReview'd with Adam and Jay

Welcome! We hope you like the try out! Everything we’ve ever reacted to…well, it’s full version is here! Rewatch some old favorites (I recommend Wandavision, or Stranger Things Season 4…)

Ryan Garner

Thanks so much!!! My sister is actually showing me ST S4 for the first time rn... very fun! Might rewatch the Boys or Gen V with that coming around, or Peacemaker (since that's not on YouTube AND with the new season) + The Bad Batch S3

Jacob Fussell

So glad to see your guys’ reaction to this. When I saw it in theaters, I was instantly ready to see your reactions (specifically Adam not being let down).

bac0ncheez

YESSSS!!! I've been lowkey camped out, waiting for your reaction. I'm so glad you guys both loved this movie. Definitely Jay but, when Adam broke down and celebrated after the punk rock scene with Clark and Lois, I felt such a wave of relief. I wanted this to be good. "Good" would have been fine. For it to be as amazing as it was is a gift. Like Adam, Superman has always been my #1. I was 4 years old when I saw Superman The Movie in theaters in 1978. This movie made me feel hopeful. Superman = HOPE and they nailed that. I love that James Gunn took us into a living, breathing DC world. Zesti Cola, Jitters Coffee, GBS News, Stagg Industries, Chocos!! It was all there. It all worked. We finally got taken into Superman's world instead of trying to fit him into ours. It was perfect.

Anthony Ockerman

Joined the patreon just to watch this reaction in its entirety. This movie seems to hit harder every time I watch it.

Michael Martinez

Apparently I just did the same thing as Anthony, and I agree wit him.

JRW 1971

Don’t ever say anything negative about the original Superman .. it’s a goddamn classic be respectful

Back Page Comics

The Hall of Justice was shot in Cincinnati at the Museum Center. The original structure known as Union Terminal that was located near the old Superfriends cartoon's production offices. I really want to visit it someday. Lived in Cincy for years and still have yet to go. Have been watching you guys on YouTube for a minute. Glad to support ya here. Love the content. Miss the east coast.

Lindsay Tischler

Will there also be a reaction with the video or just the watch along without? Jist signed up and not exactly sure how it works haha thanks!!

Caeden A Crotty

Any channel that has a patreon that does watchalongs designs them to be synced up with another screen playing whatever they're reacting to. They aren't really allowed to re-upload like movies and stuff just with their face next to it unedited, so this is sadly the next best thing. I often just have them up on my phone, and sync it up with my tv!

Caeden A Crotty

They had a load of fun with peacemaker, thats a good watch!

Joe

@1hr 33min When you're expecting Jay to cry and Adam just gets BITCH slapped in the face with the Super Feels... I cried in the theater too Jay. I Super Feel you too.

Benjamin H Snider

I've been having a hard month, and this movie and reaction cheered me up. Thank you guys for what you do and for doing it with joy and kindness.

Brak

The first thing I ever saw Bradley Cooper in was the Guardians movies, so my mental image of him is a talking raccoon. This is the second movie I've seen him cameo in (the first being the D&D movie) where the audience went nuts in the theater and I had absolutely no idea who he was.

Jack56

where da edited version

Emily Lyon

LET’S FUCKING GOOO

Noah Vogt

Like a few others, I've been watching y'all on YouTube for a long time now. I've always loved the condensed reactions, but when this movie released on VOD, I just knew the time was right to finally support y'all on Patreon. I'm so glad you both loved this movie as much as I did. I look forward to more unedited reactions in the future! Cheers!

Nathaniel Evanetz

Excellent reaction! Watching with you guys was like my 6th time watching it. It is so rewatchable and gets even better each time.

Burton Jackson

Been watching on YouTube for a year or so but I knew I had to jump in on the Patreon for this one after I saw Superman in theaters and how much I loved all the Star Wars reactions. Love your content, guys

Walter

I bought this reaction specifically because I just had to watch this along with you guys. I love this movie. I'm old enough that I saw Superman '78 in the theater when I was a little kid. It had a huge impact on me and (along with Star Wars) it totally shaped my world and interest ever since. This is the first time I have seen a Superman comic book brought to life. This is the most comic bookie comic book film I have ever seen. I loved your reaction - thank you for sharing it!

khaleif je means

Had to sub to watch this with you guys, I believe this will be my 8th time watching the movie. Getting close to how many times I've watched The Batman, which was 9 times.

Mel G

So glad you guys loved it, I cried again watching it, shed some tears in the theater. IF you still can, I can recommend the 3D experience HIGHLY, was very fun.

RJ Abad

Are...are you me?

khaleif je means

Lol did you also sub for Superman only to realize you could have bought the reaction alone? 🤔 If so maybe we are the same. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Chris K

I came here to see Jay tearing up at the ending with the very-Jay-looking Pa Kent playing with his baby boy, and I wasn't disappointed!

Chet Brusk

When I saw your reaction up on YouTube, I hovered. I'm a bit precious with this flick for personal reasons, but maybe a short run-through with the right sort of reactors would be enough and not too much. Then I said to myself, "after their two trailer reactions, you know these are *the* guys to re-watch the whole movie with. Let the feels happen." And I was not wrong. Thanks for being your genuine selves. BTW, look up the credits for Lex's girlfriend and right-hand man. The BEST low-key nods; I giggled when I saw them.

Bernard Manansala

This movie took me on a ride — from “huh… interesting choice” to “WOW. That was a CHOICE!” As someone lucky enough to have seen every iteration of Superman on the big screen, I’ll admit — this James Gunn take and I did not start off on the right foot. I came in with a lot of Zack Snyder-era baggage, and for a while, it clouded my view of the Cinematic Superman. But once I let go of that weight, it was clear: this Superman is the one we need right now. Thoughtful, forward-looking, and yes — unapologetically woke. And to that, I say: Dean Cain can go FUCK HIMSELF!!!

Joe Porras

Yeah, but having been a linguist in the Army there is a difference between translation and interpreting. I am reminded of the mistranslation of "Finger licking good" by KFC when they entered the Chinese market into "Eat your fingers off". We're the words literally translated? Yes, but they didn't convey the nuances that the English words have for us. I can see the message being real, and the translation being accurate, but not carrying the nuance. I could see the second half of his parent's message actually being something innocent, but with all the WORST choices for the English translation. I can see Supergirl (Who grew up speaking Kryptonese and speaks English fluently) hearing the controversy and saying "What? Wow that's a really dark interpretation...nah they are saying..." with a properly buanced translation

Stephen Ray

Fantastic reaction. Best I've seen with you. I saw this a few times in theaters. Once it was available on streaming, I figured it was worth joining the patreon so I could watch the full length with you. After seeing your trailer reaction, I thought you two would be the ones to watch it with.

phillip giroux

Joined for this one, wasn't disappointed. Thanks guys.

Jason Murdock

Joined for this one, too! I’ve watched 3x now and your reactions are priceless. It makes me happy; wouldn’t have wanted to watch it w/ anyone else based on the two Supes trailers you guys did! Much appreciated, guys!

Freeman25 4ever

Very fun Movie, maybe the Best SuperHero movie Ever? Hits everyone Different, I did not cry as much the guys but I guess that says alot about me? But im not here for the tears, im here cause these guy are Real and they remind me of myself, Nice job guys.

Kayla Norwood

Can’t wait to watch along!! I’ve already watched your YouTube reactions multiple times!!

Steve B

One part of the movie that sticks with me is the scene just before the interview. When Lois ask Clark if he was willing to be interviewed, when he replied "sure" his voice went up. He knew he made a mistake but he was trapped by that point.

Beawulfie

Loved this movie. I’ve just entered my 70s, I read Superman as a kid and he was my favorite then. I saw the first two or three movies, they were okay but didn’t hook me back into Superman fandom. I had no plans to watch this movie until I watched the two seasons of Peacemaker and realized I should watch it. So glad I did!

Lori Bland

I subscribed specifically to watch this move WITH you. What is this? I kinda want my money back.

pReview'd with Adam and Jay

It’s the Watch-along Format. You sync up the video with your own copy. With copyright, this is the only Way we can safely do this. We’re more than happy to issue a refund if you’re not happy. Send us a DM here and let us know.

August James Warrick

i have seen Superman now a total of 25 times. And it still NEVER gets old. I will watch this movie for the rest of my life and feel the same feelings every single time.

Stephanie Krutsick

Oh my god this is incredible. I haven’t seen this yet and watched it along with you, and I love this so much. This movie was incredible. And I’m not a Superman girl, I’m a Batman girl. But I’m also a James Gunn girl since guardians, so…
