Hey Peaches! We're doing it! Finally! We're starting to react to anime, and first up is one of the biggest show going Solo Leveling. Adam watches a ton of anime, so this will be Adam showing Jay the awesomeness of anime. How long will it take for Jay to fall in love with one of the most badass power fantasies currently going?

And we're keeping our anime watch alongs at the $5 tier because, for now, we won't be putting them on YouTube (we explain in detail in the video). We want as many Peaches to enjoy the ride as possible. So get your snacks ready and strap in cause this is a hell of a ride!

Solo Leveling S1E01 Watch Along

Comments

UltimaJosh

Not a solo leveling guy but I’ll watch you guys react!

DONT BELONG

Solo leveling is really overrated since it got adapted but it’s for a good reason. I think it’s one of the best fantasy stories I’ve read so far. Excited to watch this again with you guys. there’s always some crazy stuff happening that gives good reactions, especially in season 2.

DocteurNS

Agreed! It's a wonderfully animated show with a clunky story and so-so characters. But as far as blockbuster animes go, it's certainly solid.

Foxfire

I'm excited to see you guys explore this medium. There are so many wonderful stories out there for you to discover! I hope you enjoy it.

KaijuJames

and a here... we.... go...

Jon Zelli

Solo leveling is the fast and furious of anime Huge major market apeal without much depth and thats okay it is a good anime to start with! If you wanna get weird though do dandadan. The intro is a banger and the english Dub is sensational

Zach

Delicious in Dungeon could also be a fun anime for you guys. Much Love.

Jon Zelli

Honestly my hero would be so perfect for jay!

Dakota Hogge

Sword of the demon Hunter is really good. Infinite Dendrogram. Omg so many.

Jeff Maupin

This is a great fast paced anime

Brian Severson

Delicious in Dungeon would be a cute little romper, but watching y'all react to Dan da Dan would be where the real Juice is at. Dan da Dan is highschool x-files on acid and ecstasy. Also, the season 1 title song is an absolute banger.

Noyes33

Ok, couple things. 1. I have been waiting for a while for anime content so thank you. 2. Jay what is that charming cup and also sweatshirt? 3. If Adam reads Dungeon Crawler Carl (the audiobook is amazing, it’s actually preferred) you should record some reactions while reading or check-ins through out the book. A lot of people love that series. Time to rebinge with Jay and Adam.

Noyes33

I agree, it’s all hype and spectacle but it has enough story and the MC is likable enough that what depth they give you is good. I also agree a great first anime, no goofy anime tropes to compete with a first timer. I also agree about Dan Da Dan, the dub is great, I usually watch it dubbed then rewatch with a reactor or two in Japanese.

Noyes33

I also think if you guys choose one longer series consider My Hero Academia. I know it will be thrown out there but I don’t think Jay would enjoy Attack on a Titan as much as most do.

Parker

Would love to see some Demon Slayer reactions, I feel like Jay would really enjoy the themes and it's visually amazing. Story is kind of basic, but I don't think that means it's bad.

Zyrus

Yeah, there is a very specific kind of viewer that despises that anime, including nerdy from nerdy nightly, and Jay is likely in that category.

Tzimisce Queen

I agree that My Hero would be a great long one. Dan da dan is wonderfully absurd, the music is great, and its just so different. Demon Slayer, Kaiju No.8, Trigun: Stampede, and Fire Force are great for action. That time I was reincarnated as a slime is a fun slice of life + some action + world building kinda of anime. Delicious in Dungeon and Apothecary Diaries are both chill. Buddy Daddies is a fun very short series (12 episodes). Sakamoto Days is also super fun + action. Gachiakuta is also pretty great. It's new so it's not full out yet, but it's funny, has great action, a cool power system and fun characters.

DocteurNS

"I'm not an anti-anime person." ...do be careful how you pronounce that tho.

DocteurNS

You might want to do more recent and popular shows, but my personal recommendation and wish would go to Gurren Lagann.

Jenny O

My Hero, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, Black Clover, Spy x Family, and Hunter x Hunter are all animes I think you would enjoy.

Bort Bortenson

Nerdy Daily is doing the entire One Piece series.

Hayden Fowles

everyone read the name of the wind by Patrick rothfus

michael denny

keep it old school some cowboy bebop please and thank you. Also we need blue eye samurai (despite maybe not being real Anime) and cyberpunk: edgerunners because Jay's tears sustain me.

michael denny

how am I the only one to recommend? Cowboy bebop was my first Anime and made me realize the difference between mature cartoons and children's cartoons.

michael denny

previewed book club DCCarl, Princess Donut approved

michael denny

Also, fuzzy door is pre-production on a TV show

psy12

Attack On Titan PLEASE. The conversations that would come from it with pReview'd would be amazing

Ggg

jjk is really good

FunionsFTW

demon slayer, spy x family, sakamoto days

Kenneth Rose

Since you guys are doing these on here, strongly recommend Shangri-La Frontier. Its one of those that's pretty notorious for being blocked on YT, but the show is a fantastic look at an anime that understands gamers.

Devin Nease

You guys are D&D fans, I think you'd appreciate Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

michael denny

also jays tears basically print money so....cha ching

David Nance

A ton of people have recced Frieren but that won't stop me from adding one more on the pile. Spy x Family is a sweet and hilarious story about found family and has great action scenes too. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is maybe the platonic ideal of a shounen anime. Aside from the early part skipping through introductory stuff that they already did in the first iteration of the show and rotating out one of the most iconic OP songs ever, it's a nearly flawless show.

Ky McKenna

YO LETS GO. Also yeah, I'd adore a Jay and Adam reaction to frieren

RaginCajun773

Thanks for doing this guys! This is a solid start for Jay. Not too long and highly engaging. Blind wave made it on YouTube with solo leveling. If you have a good relationship with them pick their brains a bit.
