Hey Peaches! We're back with the Infinity Saga. We've been looking forward to this movie since we started our rewatch because neither of us have seen it in a very long time. Turns out we forgot most of it. Join us as we fall back in love with this movie and it's characters.

Adam, I can answer you question regarding the subtitle. Back then (like today) when the movie was released, America was not exactly looked on favorably with the rest of the world. The subtitle served at the alternate title used in some distribution markets, dropping the "America" all together.

You gotta give it to them, that skinny Steve effect still looks seamless all these years later

To answer the Bucky question. The experiment that he was undergoing in this film was a Hydra variation of the Soldier Serum which was how he survived the fall. Then he was found afterwards and turned into the Winter Soldier. It is possible that they also started the brain washing process but I don't think it ever got confirmed. As for Russia's involvement. In the Black Widow movie, Red Guardian infiltrates a Shield/Hydra base and steals data from the Winter Soldier project and gives it to Dreykov for the mind control of the Widows. Also while I'm at it. The Russo Brothers who directed Infinity War and Endgame did state that after the Soul Stone was taken from Vormir, Red Skull was free to go so he could very well be out there. I would love to see Steve on his time travel journey to put the stones back meeting Red Skull on Vormir.

All in all, great reaction as usual! This film definitely gets overshadowed by the next two Cap films but that is only because the next two are just that good. This film has a really fun aesthetic to it and a good old fashioned charm. It shows us the best in Steve Rogers and why he's the best and therefore we get to see only the best reaction to it here on Patreon. Also quick question on my end. While I wouldn't request the entirety of the Multiverse Saga reactions prior to Doomsday because it would be very long and many of those films already have reactions to them and you guys have busy lives. Would you consider doing rewatches of some of the more popular films like Shang Chi or Spider-Man No Way Home as one off reactions? Either way this was a wonderful reaction and the hype only gets better from here. Onto Avengers...and also all the other reactions too.

Red Skull's side kick: Red Mist! 😆 That had me laughing!

Black Crow

"I love you so much... I'm also going to kill you." ...there. that's it. <3 That's why I subscribe and am a Peach.

The Great GazB

If this didn't make people emotional, then they clearly never really "got" the investment part of the Infinity Arc. I can't wait to watch Avengers with you guys!!!

Bucky actually got a form of the serum when he was 1st captured. That's how he survived the fall from the train. When he was found in the ravine they used his enhancement to create the WS.

I too was geeking out at the references in all of the films. So you were not alone in your excitement, Jay

For the longest time I didn't "get" captain america. He seemed kinda boring to me and I only saw the patriotism part, which as a non american, I didn't care about. It took a while and reacts of fans like you, especially Jay, to get why he's so beloved. I see it with all different eyes now. It's not about the stripes and stars, it's about him being a good guy first and always, that's the whole point!
