I think Alastor is the big paradigm shift. He's more powerful than he's ever been, he's healed, he no longer has the Vees or Vox to worry about, and the deal with Rosie that held him back is finished. Season 3 might be his power-grab.

Casting the lead singer of Fall Out Boy as Abel really came in clutch at the end there, didn't it?

The big status quo shift is Alastor. You said someone would die, fall, redeem or rise. And he rose right under all the Vees noses. He's now unleashed from any restrictions and obligations and I don't think we know yet what his long term plans are. He's had almost 100 years to think of what he'll do once he's free, which he never was ever since he died. I'm glad they didn't fully kill Vox. He had to go, obviously, but now he's still around to either scheme anew, actually consider redemption (even if it might not be possible), or simply be a comic relief screen on the shelf Mimir style. I think the next seasons will become more personal and focused on the individual characters again.

This was a bridge season for sure, to add more for season 3. Lilith and Alastor are going to be big players next season

Before watching the finale, I knew there was only one song in it and I was worried that I'd feel let down or like something was missing, but they did so much with Hear my Hope that I didn't even miss not having a 2nd song. I do agree that this season didn't get to tackle a lot of things that I wish it could've. I think it really proves that Vivian could do so much more with it if they gave her more episodes per season. Can't wait for the next one!
