Hey Peaches! The crew survived the insanity of Little Garden, and Nami left with a parting gift. Stricken with a mysterious illness the crew rushes to the next island in search of doctor. Which turns out to be Drum Island, which is great cause it does have a great doctor. But also bad, because that doctor lives on the top of a mountain. And also bad because this island is ruled by a truly heinous king who's working with/for Baroque Works.

Since I know you've watched out the rest of the season: there was some buzzing that is easy to miss around the time of the fart plant but apart from that, not really; nothing except maybe Vivi suggesting that Little Garden has been so isolated that infections would exist there that people don't have immunity to, like smallpox in the real world. It's just a plot hook for one of those nifty Mass Effect get-a-playable character side quests. But you probably pieced that together.

In the Manga and Anime this was the first mention of Blackbeard.

In the manga/ anime there was more foreshadowing to NAMI getting sick. She had her top off cause it was dirty and I believe it was shown she was bit by a bug before Sanji offered his coat for her
