Hey Peaches! It's Jay's favorite episode of the season, as we get to see everyone's hero costumes for the first time. Class 1-A prepares itself for it's first team up challenge. It's heroes vs villains to see who can either save or wreck the day.

Episode 6!!! This does make me wonder: why are Falco and Slippy doing here? Having not seen these episodes in a while, it is funny hearing some of the voices with how they started vs how they are in the following seasons.

Don't forget about the movies Adam. You got four of them.

In terms of what Deku translates to it's a shortening of "Dekunobou" which means a carved wooden puppet or doll but is used in slang to mean someone who can't do anything by themselves or is useless which is how Bakugo sees Midoriya because he's quirkless. It also has a double meaning in this case because the Kanji for Midoriya's given name Izuku is 出久 which can be read both as Izu Ku or De Ku

Man, the new integrated video in Patreon is weird. It always starts muted for some reason. When you scroll down, sometimes it pauses, sometimes it doesn't.

That's like FMA Brotherhood having a finale that's like 13 episodes.

I always wonder about the thing Uraraka says about it sounding like the Japanese word for ganbare, because isn't the Japanese word for ganbare, ganbare? It doesn't sound anything like it! Is that a weird translation for the subtitles, or just an even more indirect reference to something?

Reece Hart

That's one I think that's lost in translation. It makes sense if you think of it as Ochako hearing Deku which makes her think of the word dekiru which means "able to do it" and from that she thinks of ganbare which one of the meanings is "you can do it." So basically Deku reminds her of dekiru which has a similar meaning as ganbare
