Hey Peaches! We're done with the past, it's on to the present. We may have taken care of the Manhunter, but now it's time to solve Hal's murder. We know Jon didn't do it, but everyone in the remain of Rushville are a suspect. Oh, and Guy shows up to unknowingly help.

"I hope I mattered." hits but I think it was really sad when he was addressing the "scores" of people he assumed would be there and it cut to only the three of them.

Parker

Hal made stupid decision after stupid decision and put the entire town in mortal danger. Not really any question about that.

After rewatching the episode, the thing that stands out to me is Noah's gesture to the neighbor driving by in the truck. The driver asks "What's your decision, superstar?" Noah responds by zipping his mouth closed, and the driver says "I won't tell nobody". First, what decision? It's implied that they're talking about which college he's picking, but I wonder if it's something else. Maybe Noah has more sway over the town than we realize, like Zoe. Second, the gesture could mean that Noah isn't ready to talk about his college pick yet, or it could mean that Noah doesn't want to talk about something in front of John and the driver should keep quiet. Maybe I'm too far down a rabbit hole, but the Noah manhunter theory keeps looking better and better.

Venom

Something I overlooked until this rewatch. When they make it known rings are decommissioned and on Oa, in this universe. That means they can be stolen.

He always calls John "Junior," accept for the last time when he said "don't tell anybody you were, here." Then he called him "John." I think Sinestro could have killed Hal, and he did it with a gun because it wouldn't trace back to him. Sinestro is one of the few people who could get that close to Hal and stare him in the face and Hal would not fight back. Also the line: "I hope I mattered," was a last minute add by co-executive producer Damon Lindelof.

I could tell when this watch along started that the audio was different. You guys do sound better and the acoustics of the room sound better too. It's not a crazy difference, but it is enough that it improves on what you had before. But it might also all be from a difference in noise filtering or something. Either way it's better. :D

This was the first time we filmed at the new place, so it was a little more echoey because we were in an empty room. I’m glad the audio sounded good 😊

Apparently that line was written on the day

My perspective on why he was in jail is, he’s basically a cop that walked into a hostage situation and yelled “Shoot the hostage, see if I care”
