I have not felt this sad about a character death in quite a while, especially since I always thought of Mae as a minor supporting character. Unfortunately with the way my brain works, as soon as she started talking about the trip to Bristol being to long for a woman of her seasoning and her being in the title, I began to fear the worst. I am sad again watching the episode with you guys, but I have a idea about how the club may be saved from controlling ownership by Zelda. I think Zelda is going to successfully get the shares from the Milk sisters and gain a controlling interest, however Mae said in episode 8 that she had quite a haul of shares herself. As best we can tell, Mae has no husband or children, she may have things set-up so that the shares go back to Richmond upon her death or perhaps that happens by default with no one to inherit them. So even in passing her support of the club may end up saving it by giving Rebecca back controlling interest.

Agreed. I think it’s a matter of cool ladies like Mae, the Milk Sisters, Rebecca and Keeley, vs Bad feminism aka Zelda taking advantage of women despite claiming to be cool.
