Hey Peaches! When last we left Master Chief and company, everyone was headed somewhere. Chief, Cortana, Halsey, and random creepy dude were off to MC's home world in search of a second McGuffan. Soren and Kwan were headed back to Madrigal, and so were the Covenant. This is a good episode, that really ratchets up the emotional action.....the physical action......well....there's definitely more than last week?

Great reaction as always guys! I totally agree with you on the UNSC not capitalizing on the Spartans understanding some of the Covenant language, but I think what they're getting at is that Halsey has limited what access other departments (namely her daughter) have to the Spartans, and that recent events seem to be changing all that.

God, this is so bad. As HALO content. I’m so frickin BORED so far. I don’t give a crap about what’s her face from planet Family Madrigal. The writers/show runners are idiots making the same idiot mistakes Hollywood has always made with beloved fantasy IP “yeah we have all this source material, but, like, what if we just ignore that and do our own thing because ‘I’ Am An ArTiSt’ and “wE wAnT tO tElL oUr OwN sThtOry!” Like yall said, I’m came here for Master Chief fighting the Covenant in live action. The sad part, also like you said, is from a sci-fi story and production value perspective it’s actually good (REALLY good) but I just don’t care about that story. It’s a random sci-fi story with a Halo skin on it. I do not care. I honestly forgot there was even a new Halo episode out today until I saw y’all’s watch along pop on here today. I just don’t care. It’s abundantly apparent that the showrunners/producers/writers did not give a frack about this franchise from the start. Costume, set, and props however, clearly did, but that’s about as far as I can go on the complements. I’m genuinely surprised y’all aren’t tearing this show to pieces the same way you did with Eternals, and that was objectively better lol.

I’m liking the show so far, can’t wait for more action though. And man, Halsey sucks! They keep showing master chief as a kid with his dog, and after what they mentioned in this episode with the other Spartans and their pets, I bet you anything that she made him “eliminate” his dog, or else she did it herself. 🎶Looks like I hate it!🎶. 🐶🥺😢😭

I was forcing myself to find some interest in what's going on in Madrigal. They definitely could have told this part of the story in later episodes or even next season. Feels a bit rushed. I just hope they tie it in to Master Chief's story in a really good way or it was going to be a big waste of time and hurt how good this season could have been.

So my main issue with Madrigal is, well shit, we're back on Tatooine/Dune yet again. There's Desert/Sand/Fremen people, there's lots of sand, there's crime, and there's space fascists trying to keep down a rebellion. SO familiar. This show is following The Mandalorian a little too closely. Give me a solid reason to care about the stubborn and hotheaded Kwan Ha in the bigger Halo universe, guys, and please try to make it feel less like Star Wars.

The thing for me is that they're making a show for the few people who don't know what Halo's story is... and are building characters up to a point where we will be devastated when they die.

The only think I don’t like about the show is kwan. Omg she’s her pain is the kind of pain that cause selfish actions she got her aunt killed she got this man’s ship fucked up and taken and yet still is like oh let go here and talk to this person I know they’ll fight. When it’s obvious that everyone who was with your father is either dead or dosent care anymore . she sucks

The Madrigal stuff is sad...but also...there is so much more we can focus on. The emotion pellet with the Spartans and John's past is more interesting. If this show does have 10 episodes, I wouldn't be surprised if they pull a Boba Fett and make an episode or two purely off Madrigal stuff and no John, that would be really disappointing. But still awesome show!

I’m enjoying the show very much other than Kwan! She needs to understand that she’s a child. Her motivation isn’t even her motivation, it’s her dad’s.
