Hey Peaches! This is one of the best episode of television we've seen in a very long time. We've been pretty shook up about it all day. Truly a powerful piece of art that should go down as one of the best episode of TV ever.

I couldn't talk for about 10mins after. I was exhausted from crying and just emotionally worn out. What a masterful, stunning piece of art and story-telling.

Alan Robinson

It totally destroyed me 😭😭

Christian Kleman

Oh, man. Nearly got whiplash going from that thumbnail to the energy of the intro! Much love, my guys!

Jen Smith

DAMN IT. I WASNT GOING TO WATCH THIS SHOW but when you title an episode like this.... I'm starting it now.

Ben

Such a great episode, but watching it with you guys from here in the uk is a pain in the bum, we don’t have hbo so the timings are off it seems to be going quicker than yours I was like 4 minutes out by the end and I had to keep pausing but I will endure for the whole season because I love you guys 🥰😭

Jared Winn

Oh my god! Jay taking over the closing bit because Adam was crying...my heart. Love you, boys. Such great television.

I was in the same boat as Adam through Bill and Frank's initial meeting. I hadn't put two and two together that Joel and Ellie were *going* to Bill and Frank's, so the part of me that has long been conditioned to expect a "humans are the worst" moment didn't let up until we got that first time skip with them together. Just an amazing roller coaster of emotion, plus the not-so-subtle tie-in, with Joel and Ellie really starting their journey together to the same Linda Ronstadt song Bill sang that first night.

Bethlee Swanson

For all the jokes made about Adam being a robot, he really is just a smushy wushy soft boi at the center, and it's incredibly sweet. The shark shirt was perfect for this ep, too.

I love how authentic, real, funny poignant and sweet you both are. Adam, all day I was so worried about how this episode would hit you because you would have to watch it back multiple times after the 1st watch during editing. These dang writers, these actors, this showwww!!! As one who played this game eons ago... I was not prepared for the show to top that! Jay, your happiness when you see and celebrate the love in these shows brings me such joy. I hope you're both OK. Sending many peachy and mushroom free hugs! You both are the best!

Jen Smith

....ok. thank you guys. Yes, I'm devastated but it was totally worth it. Now I gotta wash my face and ring out my shirt.

What a profound episode of television. Rewatched with you guys and I was crying from the moment Frank was in the hole since I knew what was coming. So many small but glaring details in this episode, from Bill likely being closeted and the world ending before gay marriage was legalized, to the final meal being the same as the first, to the painting of Bill all over the place, to the idea that Bill moved their bedroom downstairs when Frank got sick. It really painted such an intimate and beautiful relationship for us in apocalyptic utopia. On a side note, the wine they had with their rabbit is a quite good $15 or so bottle - Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages

Jay!!! I loved this reaction from you and Adam. This episode left me an emotional wreck and I’m still trying to recover. This deviated from their characters in the game in absolutely the best way. They gave these two characters such a better story and the two actors (Nick and Murray) acted their absolute asses off. I can’t wait for next week which will hopefully stop tearing our hearts out and smashing it to pieces

It really is an incredible episode... the writing, acting and just so genuinely emotional, all done with some beautiful shot choice. The strings piece playing in the montage after their talk about Frank's wishes is "On the Nature of Daylight" by Max Richter and it is one of the most beautifully melancholy songs they could have chosen. It hits like a truck every tim with so much emotion. It's also used in Arrival, and if you haven't seen that you would absolutely love it. Incredible, thoughtful movie.

Cody Rowan

The happiest ending the shows going to have. woof.

rcman

Did anybody else start crying when Jay stepped in for the outro? Too many feels indeed. <3

Aimee Lynn

So glad we got the Sister Act rejoicing at the beginning to balance out the devastation. Also, the 13-months fact was worth the Patreon subscription.

Jerome Engel

yup, watched it the second time with you now and I cried my eyes out even more. damn you guys. jk. big hug!

Jerome Engel

yeah it's because of different frame rates. I specially "got" it somewhere to watch the US version with them.

V.S

I was so nervous for your reaction to this episode I love that your both so honest with your feeling This was a big twist but good My ugly crying started when Ellie read the letter Joel grabs it and walks out …..my heart broke

Anna Stickabutter

Ok, so I’ve just started the ep and I’m riding the high of perfect “click time” alignment with my stream. Guess I’ll see you on the other super sad and weepy side??

Sly

This one, unapologetically, slammed me in the feels. I sobbed right along with you guys. I was still weepy about it today, just *thinking* about the episode.

Jayskull

I can't even begin to mention how much this episode affected me. As soon as Bill put down his glass, I knew what was coming. Heartbreaking, and incredibly touching at the same time. ❤️
