Hey Peaches! Our adventure is under way. And for their first opponent our "not-quite-crew" runs into a super powered clown. Why does it have to be a clown? But also, Buggy translated into Live Action  very well, and the actor did a magnificent job! Let's watch Jay discover Buggy's powers for the first time..... :)

Let us also acknowledge that the source material is amazing too, the showrunners had a lot to pull from. This story has a lot of heart, it also has a lot of darker tones. And to think the east blue saga is one of the least favorite/ranked arc, they really did well in translating it to live action, and possibly making it better :) glad you guys are enjoying it as much as we did!

This is my favorite episode. It does a lot of things differently than the anime, like Buggy's whole personality is pretty dark and wild here. He was never quite this menacing in the anime/manga. And yet they perfectly recreate this part of the story in live action form. Shanks is also amazingly cast. In fact I think the casting director deserves an award for the whole series.

I agree with the actors being unknowns. Emily Rudd (Nami) was in the Netflix fear Street movies a few years back and Mackenyu Maeda (Zoro) is fairly well known in Japan (he is actually Sonny Chiba's son) but the rest are essentially unknowns

The first season is diffidently clipping through the anime episodes, and they are doing it very well. Some small changes and i hope they get many season out of this if they are going to move this fast

One thing I can say about this show is it kind of reminds me of "The Warriors" on water. With how all the different pirates have their special theme. I picked up on that right away when I first watched it. (I'm surprised that I haven't seen anybody else Mahe that connection).
