Great reaction. :) FWIW, the creature at the end is the same one. Mulder basically just "split it" in half, he didn't kill it. Scully explains that these worms are capable of spontaneous regeneration. Be as it may, I really enjoy the way you put pieces together when watching the episodes. You focus on everything on screen and you really seem to enjoy the series. Yup, this is a classic X-Files disgusting monster-of-the-week case. I remember the shower scene where the guy pukes the smaller worm was really disturbing to me when I watched the series as a kid during its original airing. I was like 10 years old or so when this episode was shown, lol.
