sierra's reaction corner

I NEVER get tired of new reactions to Interview with the Vampire and I'm always hoping for more, so I'm ecstatic that you're checking it out now. I saw you had a Patreon so I HAD to come here to watch! You are in for a RIDE. Amazing acting (Jacob Anderson as Louis and Sam Reid as Lestat are incredible), writing, set and costume design all around. I'm also glad that you've never seen the 1994 movie or read the books at all because I think going into this show a little blind is almost the best way to experience it. Knowing the movie or books can make it a little hard for someone to just let the show tell its own version of this story. And because of that I do wanna say, PLEASE beware of spoilers! For some reason, fans of this show and original books and movie LOVE telling reactors what to look out for and things about the characters rather than letting the story reveal said information organically. So be careful! But here's also a LOT of really good discussions and takes to be had about this show and characters so I wouldn't shy away from checking out the comments either. This show is very underrated and probably isn't quite big enough for mods, but 🤷🏿‍♀ Anne Rice was the author of the original Vampire Chronicles series which has like 13 books. I'd say the first 5 or 6 are most relevant to what the show is adapting as the show creators and writers have said that they have no intentions of adapting the ENTIRE series. Seasons 1 & 2 of the show adapts the 1st book in the series as does the 1994 movie. So I wouldn't recommend reading the book or watching the movie until after you watch both seasons. Season 3 is currently being written and has already been greenlit and it will be adapting the 2nd book in the series, so if you enjoy Season 1 (which I'm sure you will) and you wanna continue the show, there will be plenty to come!
