i also like picking apart loops into one shots, but i digress

C-Dub

MIDI PACKS ONLY

Connor Kelly

My favorite by far are max4live patches and other instruments I can play with

lop

mostly INSANE MIDI PACKS

JulesG

That's why I prefer slicing loops and making multiple one shots from them.

Yuri Kanbay

Very hard choice, i think i’d like instruments racks too

Carl-Johan Kvick

Yeah this was hard to pick one. Loops to mangel and take apart is an worthy #2 for me.

Spencer Ouellette

Pretty surprised by how many people use one shots and loops. I love taking preexisting music and working some granular magic until getting something wild.

I would say that tbh, really what I want is just good high quality percussion layers, so somewhere in between... Just makes it easier to totally change the energy up. I mean Im building a library myself, but it's just nice to whack on some nicely done Hi-hat + cymbal like 16bar phrases to totally change the energy up. I mean I am more of a jammer than a sound designer, so its like - I dunno, "Vibe Injections" sample pack would be cool. Kicks, snare rushes, Hihat patterns - just as a jam companion that you can trust, and then you can chop or rewrite to midi or totally change from there

and blimey if you can whack them in a sampler or something, and give a twiddle nob to basically stutter it on a part of the sample, then Id be in heaven tbh
