Hello new Patrons and old ones. Feel free to post any ideas for news you'd like to see. I have a couple I've had to schedule for reasons so looking to fill some gaps and make December a solid month for creative music related content, yes, theres that word again, content. Cheers.

The only CONTENT needed for anyone using ableton let's face it..

Dan Gayle

There's a techno/experimental/glitch artist named Alva Noto. An interview with him on YouTube shows that he makes everything out of some sine waves from a test signal generator. I bet you could do a really interesting take on that. https://youtu.be/gJ6zqNKSwXM

I'd love another MPE video

Hey Ned, I really really enjoyed your BFG feedback patch for Max. Would love to see something building up from there. Or maybe a deeper look into jit.gl.slab in general. Cheers!

I’m not that great at jit.gl.slab cause that’s real coding. I’m more into jit.gl.pix although I have done stuff just using the slabs in the max library.

Maybe the MPE mod matrix in wave table to make fun sounds on Push? An Lfo to mod the matrix amounts could make something evolving?

Make a dj set in Ableton, warping and making a live set from scratch I’d like some info on please. Getting a new Mac in the New Year and want keep it as clean and functional as possible so any tips would be great 👍

Sean Hannan

I’d be interested in seeing your process in taking a noise jam and turning it into a finished track.

Hi, I have the same question,I'm working actually on an hybrid DJ set + vocal live performance for a future gig and radio show, I don't know if I can do it with Ableton + midi controller because I'm about to follow the standard way : getting a Pionneers DJ DDJ-FLX6 and learn a DJ soft... does someone has an opinion about that issue?

Oooh nice Ned! How big’s yours? As for your question GK I’d say both routes are decent and will have their pros and cons but for a live performance type thing I’d imagine that Ableton will be more flexible and customisable to what you need. That said, I’d recommend asking this question on somewhere like Reddit, in a specific subreddit for each bits of the equipment you’re thinking about and seeing if current users could answer your question better ✌️🤓

would love to see more about tools for generative music creation, esp if they include a CV component

mundelator

Something with VCV Rack 2 VST, maybe a blend of sine waves at different frequencies as mentioned by Dan Gayle above 🙂

Capt. Toast

I would love to see your amazing brain reproducing classic psych/prog rock effects, sounds and maybe synths a la Gong, Hawkwind, Ozric Tentacles and more recently earlier Wand in Ableton! Like Synthi rising whoops, bubbly loops, that kind of thing...
