Pretty sure the graphics will look the same as 12

Hi! I’m new here, so this is a good way to introduce myself. I still own my boxed copy of Live 1, but I remember Live 4 being the version that introduced MIDI and that certainly was a game changer. Cheers from Portugal!

Wow. Nostalgia. They even shipped with a spiral bound real life manual back then. We need to lobby Ableton for a virtual manual we can read with a VR headset. Maybe gloves with sensors that make you feel like you’re turning pages.

I'm fairly certain that I have a working Apple Power Macintosh G4 466 (Digital Audio) that'll run that. If so, I'd be more than happy to donate it. :)

I don't care about Ableton 12 anymore, please show us how to make early 00's jungle beats on Ableton 4

I'd watch a "what's new in Live 4?" video... DV camcorder pointed at clamshell MacBook's screen, and sounds coming from beige computer speakers. Glorious.

What the... did the software come on a big LP? What *is* that you're holding?

Interzoneboy

Nice. So tangible! I remember installing games in the early/mid '90s from big boxes like that, with a pretty sleeve, a big printed manual, and a big stack of 3.5'' floppies. I'm guessing your box there had CD-ROMs in it.

Ned Rush

Shall I do an unboxing video?

Interzoneboy

Do it! I'd love to see what's inside there. Get a look at some of those sweet printed materials. I'm guessing the manual back then was as "enthusiastic" as it is now.

My first version of Live was 4, same big box. From PC World
