Hello everyone. I have some VHS tapes. Gonna mess around with them. Here is one rewinding all the way to the start very fast recorded on my iPhone. If you're a certain age, you may find, as I do, that even the sound of an idle vhs player is weirdly evocative.

As someone with 4 VCRS currently in the room with them I do agree.

Thank you, this is awesome! Out of curiosity, was it The Little Mermaid cassette you kindly rewind for us?

Frederick

Awesome! What was the tape you were rewinding?

Mike Colucci

Greg Turkington would love this.

Anybody here ever tried making a vhs tape delay or knows about a project? :)

I’m sure it’s possible. The Fellow Passenger had a YouTube video where he makes a tape delay with a cassette deck. It needs 3 heads. Not sure how a vhs one would work. I could try it.

Or maybe it would mean to take two or three machines apart and combine the parts... could also be interesting.

I just discovered this fantastic Foley because of how Android auto surfaces patreon notifications.
