[Announcement + Poll] Upcoming changes to the Patreon! (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

Tomorrow a new year starts, and as with each new year, it will be a good time to revise the Patreon rewards, as well as the Patreon description, goals, etc!

I don't feel like doing technical write-ups as I used to, and the idea of straight-up making a game every month like I had originally planned for 2018 is exhausting just to think about. So we need new things!

For most of the month of December I've been thinking about possible new content, and new rewards for you. Some ideas I think are good and I will at least attempt to do them. Others I'm much less sure of and I'm asking that you give me your opinion in the poll below!

The idea that I've been most conflicted about was an exclusive daily log, or maybe even a daily video log, where I talk about what I'm currently working on for about 5 minutes. While this could be interesting, my ability to talk in English in front of a camera is not my strong point to say the least. But then again I could improve by doing it... Still would you even watch that?

If this was to take the text form, it could be as 100-words daily posts, but then would you actually be interested in those?

Also, while I'm very happy with my English, I can't deny that French is my original language and I naturally speak it better. Which leads me to the question: should I try producing french content?

I realize that most of you probably do not speak french at all, which is why this may be a terrible idea. And that's why I'm asking what you think of it. French content could take the form of new written articles and also maybe videos, about video games and video game development.

Please let me know what you think of these ideas with the poll below and in the comments. I am also open to suggestions for other ideas! For either of these things, I would be very grateful for your input!

Now onto the new things that I will definitely do! (or at least attempt to)

There is going to be a Trasevol_Dog Discord, exclusive for Patreon supporters! It would mainly be a place for you to ask me questions about whatever, but also to meet each other. I might also post new gifs and pictures there some time before I post them anywhere else! :)

My goals for 2019 are in part to get better at game design and general creativity, and so here is another idea that I will attempt to maintain, hopefully all year long: Daily Video Game Ideas!

Each week-day (Monday to Friday), I will post a new Game Idea with a short text about it and a page of my notebook with (badly) hand-drawn sketches.

The post for every Monday will be public, while the posts for the other days will be locked to the 5$ tier!

Occasionally I might produce a pixel-art mock-up of what an idea could look like if it were realized. From time to time I might even take one of the simpler idea and turn it into an actual game!

These are the new additions I've been thinking about!

Among other changes, I would move the current 5$ tier reward of early-access to new write-ups to the 8$ tier. I'm not really interested in writing exclusive write-ups anymore but the existing ones will remain as an 8$ tier exclusive. 2019 write-ups might be different than the previous ones. I'm going to try and write about game design and about existing games. We'll see how that goes!

Once again I want to thank you, SO MUCH, for your continued support! 2018 has been very hard on me, yet your support remained consistent and it has been a huge help! I am extremely grateful!!

Thankfully I have been getting better these last few months and I am very much looking forward to making new things in 2019!
