Hey, guys.Been noticing some people on the Patreon have some strong opinions on the second arc of Nerd In the North.I'm aware that opinions may differ but this was a progression arc to familiarize Greg with the horrors of Westeros and do many things to his personality and his reactions and opinions of many powerful characters and canon characters. And I researched a lot for this as I do for all my stories so I wanted to make sure I'm doing right by both the original work and you guys. So, if anyone has any questions about what happened in Arc 2, either message me now here or in my Discord.I'll be answering on both places.

My question? When is the next chapter? I'm dying here waiting for it!

Ditto to the above. The arc felt like a good taking off the blinds thing and the return to the start was appropriate. Now comes the escalation.

My question is will you not be any canon pov's for the entirety of the story or is it just for the beginning. Danerys, Trying, Arya, and Jon are always fun head spaces to explore although I'm hoping we get a viserys pov and he gets to live and grow as a character, Long live the dragon prince lol.

So magic reawakens in the world with Greg taking place of Dragons and animals were hunting him cause Brynden got freaked out by alien potentially messing up prophecy? Thats my best guess.

There will be POVs of canon characters but not those from the original series. Robb and Roose and Ramsay and other Northeners. Different people at the Wall. Different people in Essos, now this still means we'll see canon characters do main character things, but not from their POV. I dont want to repeat what's been done.

Next arc will be on New Years when I continue writing an entire arc in a month again, but I have two other stories that were here before it (technically three but that one I can write a bit quicker so they'll stay on the side)

Has Greg figured out that he gets powers for basically accomplishing achievements? He doesn't often reflect on where his powers are coming from and usually takes it stride kinda like in Greg Vs, I wonder if greg is just desensitized to randomly getting powers.

I roll a d12 and treat it like a head/tails thing for it so it's kinda random. In Arc 1, it was an actual flipped coin. As the arcs go, I'll increase the complexity making achievement gains harder and more random. So a d20 for arc 3.

Why is Greg so sure his magic and powers will be with him and not vanish the next second? Can you try to unpack this a little bit? How much a person would rely on some game/magic mechanics with no understanding of it? I admire his heroic approach by the way. And the first arc is awesome.

What version of guts are you using for the story Z. And will His mark still draw in monsters?
