The master’s dead. Like, actually dead.

even though i’ve only been a vampire since after Thanksgiving (it’s May now), all i’ve ever heard about is how the master was this unstoppable vampire god. you’d think someone with “master” as a title would have a better survival track record, but no. two weeks ago, poof.

apparently, it took The Slayer, Angelus (ugh), and mr. harris working together to take him down. and honestly? that checks out. dude had powers that made regular vampires look like sewer rats with fangs, so it makes sense it wasn’t just a solo slayer op.

what really gets me is how all the vampires outside of Rosen Queen are scrambling now. They used to act like they owned the night, and now they’re running scared. Even the nightclub shut down. The ones lucky enough to have company protection are staying quiet, but the rest? it’s like watching cockroaches after the lights come on.

Mr. Harris hasn’t said much about how it happened. he just chills in his fancy new office when he’s here, which isn’t often. i tried asking him once, but he gave me this look like i’d just farted in an elevator, so i dropped it. i don’t know if he’s proud, traumatized, or just bored, but whatever.

the weird part is, i never expected the master to die. even though the stories make it sound like slayers are always hunting big bads like him, he felt like... too big. like one of those legends that’s just there, unkillable, untouchable. but now he’s gone, and i guess that means anyone can go down.
