Greg Arc 8, Chapter 13 Outline: Glorious II (Patreon)
Content
Chapter begins with an internal scream—Glory Girl's thoughts catching up to the declaration on the armband: "White Knight, down."She's tumbling through air from the shockwave, cape twisted around her face. Can’t see him. Can’t think. She didn't want to think he was dead. She knew he wasn't, not yet at least, not till the armband said so.
But Glory Girl felt her heart drop into her stomach anyway. He had been amazing against Leviathan, even more than he had been against Lung two months ago. And that has nothing to do with him saving me.
She just hoped he was okay.
Light, sound, steam, blood. Everything is light and sound and steam and blood.
Her internal narration doesn’t pause. Not really. Just: “Move. Move. Move. MOVE—”
Then her instincts kick back in—her aura flares wide, a flash of raw aggression and unfiltered fear. And something sees her.
A lance of water cuts through the rain like a liquid blade, shimmering like a guillotine under lightning. She dodges, banking hard. Feels the heat of near-death rake her leg, power clipping off , momentum carrying her too farShe overcorrects, spinning like a human missile out of control
Slams shoulder-first into a billboard, metal frame buckling on impact
Rebounds off advertising sign, cape tangled, debris raining down
Rights herself with brutal air-brake maneuver, g-forces rattling her arround
Below, she sees Purity arcing through the storm like a twisted comet—helixes of pale bright light spiraling from her outstretched arms. The blasts rip through what used to be rooftops. Cut into the sea like molten drills.
Glory Girl hates her. Always has. Hates her more now. But she’s helping. Kind of.
At least the racist bitch knows which way to point her lasers

The list scrolls past too fast, too many, each notification a life changed or ended
Two streaks of mismatched tech-light— one using a lumbering, glowing scrapmetal jetpack. It's Uber shouting lines from a JRPG (Glory Girl of course doesn't recognize it), and L33t is behind him riding on a quad-rotor drone firing cartoonish bullets with eyes as it flew through the air.
She’s incredulous, but they’re working. Distracting it.
“Are those—are those Mega Man bullets?” she mutters aloud, lips twitching involuntarily before she glanced at her armband to make sure she wasn't broadcasting. What she watched and played in her spare time was nobody's business.
One of L33t’s missiles explodes in a burst of confetti-colored EMP that Leviathan actually dodges.
For a split second, she almost smiles—then remembers where she is
The air is cluttered. Too many fliers. Some of them start falling. She sees Dauntless dropping like a rock with a sparking shield. Manpower, her uncle, half-dragging someone back toward cover, bleeding from one ear. The person he's carrying isn't moving, limbs hanging limp
Skidmark and Circus—dead. Dragon—her suit was struggling to stay in the air, payback from Leviathan from the payload from earlier. Dragon's massive frame lists to one side, servos whining in protest, one wing completely shreddedThe Tinker suit moves like a wounded animal, powerful but no longer graceful
Her eyes track Krieg’s corpse slumped over a collapsed wall. And several villains from out of town, one missing most of a torso.
Leviathan moves differently now. Faster. Smoother. Like it’s enjoying itself. It had definitely been playing around before, the fight with White Knight had shown that. Its tail carves into buildings like a scythe, its movements too fluid to track unless you’re thinking seconds ahead.

It’s deeply cut in places—White Knight had hurt it. But it doesn’t slow down.
The cracks around its eye socket spider-web further with each movement
For the first time in Endbringer history, one of them looks genuinely damaged
It plays with the blasters, juking their fire. It hates standing still.
Laser beams and energy blasts pass through empty air where it was moments before
Victoria tries to flank it. Thinks she sees an opening. Doesn’t.
She accelerates hard, pulling Gs that would liquefy a normal person's organs
Wind screams past her as she builds speed, aiming for what looks like a blind spot
It turns. Instinctively. Slaps her midair with a wave she doesn’t see, only feels.
The impact is like getting hit by a freight train made of concrete
Her shield flickers under the assault, warning lights flashing behind her eyes
She slams into a water tower. Metal screams as her body carves through reinforced steel, leaving a Victoria-shaped dent
Water gushes from the ruptured tank, adding to the urban flood below
Her ears ring from the impact, vision swimming as she struggles to reorientGroaning, she rights herself.
Alexandria drops from above like a cannonball, shoulder-tackling Leviathan into a submerged street. Asphalt explodes upward in a geyser of debris and floodwaterEidolon follows. His power this time? Black holes. Localized black hole.
Everything distorts. Even Victoria’s ears pop.
She sees arms stretched longer than they should be. Time slipping sideways.
Leviathan screams. Not with a mouth. With water pressure. The sound is felt more than heard—a vibration that rattles her bones and makes her teeth ache
Around her, others regroup.Purity, barely scuffed, snarls something before unleashing another light spiral

Legend materializes overhead, laser grid forming between his outstretched fingersHis beams weave complex patterns, trying to corral Leviathan's movement
Each laser leaves afterimages burned into Victoria's retinas
Mako—that gray-skinned shark-woman from Boston—biting into Leviathan’s tail before being yeeted into a building. The Changer's teeth actually penetrate Endbringer hide before she's swatted away like an insect
Her impact with the office building creates a shower of glass and concrete

Even Uber is throwing some kind of weird disc now. One detonates in pixelated flames, enough to make Leviathan pause. The explosion blooms in perfect 8-bit squares, impossibly bright primary colors
For a moment, the battlefield looks like a corrupted video game
It all slows for one second.
That’s when she hears it.Something moving.
Not Leviathan. Something else.
A rush of displaced air. A weight behind the wind.
A single sentence splits the rain.“LIVING HERE IN BROCKTON!”The words hit like a physical force, cutting through storm noise and battle chaos
They carry an impossible amount of sound, more volume than human lungs should produce
Glory Girl’s eyes snap wide. Her mouth drops open."What the f—"
Her head snaps around as something massive charges forward.
The armband chirps: White Knight, active.
