Starting from the end of arc five, I will be leaving some decisions up to you guys.

In this case, how should this arc end?

Specifically, in regards to Greg’s mission.

It’ll probably be: Greg Saves Sansa and Myrcella helps them escape and then asks to come along. Also, I can’t imagine a scenario where Greg is captured -just, no. Even with mind control Joffrey knows nothing about tactics or strategy, so he’ll make a mess of it. In fact, I give it a month or two before Joffrey has an ‘accident’ and dies of natural causes -like falling down stairs (gravity is very natural).

Why would myrcella help she's currently crazy because of what happened to tommen, personally watching Greg go to kl infiltrate maegors only to find out the royal party is in another castle (having a picnic in the Kingswood or something) would be hilarious

Why would Greg kidnap Myrcella?? The obvious answer is an eye for an eye, getting leverage to force the other side to surrender despite whatever trauma and risks it poses to Myrcella, an innocent kid, but isn't he trying a better-than-thou noble justice schtick? Isn't that the reason he's kept swallowing down all his grievances with his "allies"? Like the numerous post-truce assassination attempts, implied threats, and derogatory insults they've levied at him, to which he's done comparatively nothing about, but toothlessly huffs and puffs about to Robb, who either handwaves it away or gives (figurative) slaps on the wrist?

Turncoat

I can't see taking Myrcella being a remotely good choice.

Numerous post truce assassination attempts?

Am I misremembering that after Robb ordered the three or so nobles who were attacking Greg's lands to stand down and make a truce with Greg followed by going to Winterfell, Greg and his merry little band had to go through more than one or two coincidentally inconvenient 'obstacles' on the way there?

zfighter18

There was no truce yet. They were just told to return to Winterfell

GenericReader_n

Fair on that point then, but isn't Robb explicitly ordering them to stand down and inviting Greg to Winterfell at the bare minimum an implied order and promise of armistice, which they blatantly disobeyed? And what, if any, repurcussion did they face for either treacherously breaking that armistice or being treasonously insubordinate?

zfighter18

You’re assuming a political courtesy and general instructions like it was a formal decree, past that of end war and return to Winterfell for the bannermen and come to Winterfell for Greg. That’s not what happened. There was no codified “armistice,” no formalized truce, no peace treaty with heralds and parchment. Greg wasn’t even officially at war with Robb—he was being attacked by rogue bannermen acting without centralized orders. Robb told those lords to stand down and for Greg to return to Winterfell. Nothing about “implied promises” or “armistice violations” holds real water unless you’re trying to retrofit Geneva Convention logic into Westeros. From their POV, Greg wasn’t protected. He was already getting summoned for judgment but they just wanted him gone anyway as a threat instead of any possibility of leniency So nah, there’s no treachery here. Just feudal pettiness.

I do feel like the kidnapping will harm more than gain. Plus it’s kinda against Greg character so far.

AntaeusTheGiant

I see the both option is winning. Kidnapping princesses, eh? Time for the face/heel turn meme arc....

Taye

Maybe Greg won’t actually kidnap her, but the Lannisters just paint it that way.

Greg getting kidnapped or not saving Sansa would just feel contrived, the only way I see it happening is that they figure out he is here to save her and they tell him to surrender or they will kill her like they have her at knife point when he arrives. It would be nice to see something cool happen to Myrcella for once, like I get her characters point, where the irony is that shes turns out to be the "great ruler" Cersei fantasied Jofferey would be, only to lose her to a rivial. but idk felt more could have been done with her and her brother for that matter.
