FINALLY DONE! this work week has been hell. I worked around 50+ hours, but I was finally able to fire one of my trouble employees 😭 totally worth going into work on my day off

Holy shit my EMOTIONS. God Ro - your ability to just draw facial expressions is freakin unparalleled. What really hits me is the tenderness with which OG Ryder reaches to caress Amy's face, and the annoyance when current Ryder interrupts him. And oh God the SADNESS on his face when he relays what he had to do, when he faces once again just what he had to give up for just a chance at changing whatever fate was so horrible

And just the - "time's up huh" transition?? That BANG rubber band smack to reality and that change in pacing feeling like fucking whiplash - excellent use of pacing right there with a call back to the shock of previous panels

But God I would be so frustrated to be Ryder - like literally how the hell is he supposed to use a book which only "speaks to him" when it wants to with a mind of its own, to fight a really fucking scary ass monster demon thing with KNIVES FOR FINGERS "Like sorry my guy, can you just pause for a sec so I can look your sub type up in the fucking index"
