The story of this building in Mexico City is pretty fun.

The Casa de los Azulejos ("House of Tiles") or Palacio de los Condes del Valle de Orizaba (Palace of the Counts of Valley of Orizaba) is an 18th-century Baroque palace in Mexico City, built by the Count of the Valle de Orizaba family. The building is distinguished by its facade, which is covered on three sides by blue and white colonial Talavera tiles from Puebla state. The palace remained in private hands until near the end of the 19th century.

It was bought by Sunborns and turned into a restaurant that is still active and pretty good, I love that breakfast spot!!!

but the funnest thing is ... the house was built, AS A CHALLENGE!! a son told his father that he want to build a house covered in tiles and the father said its impossible and is a terrible idea anyways. One of the Orizaba sons, the heir apparent to the title and building, was more interested in fiestas and other wasteful pursuits than in the family business. His despairing father told him that he was a good-for-nothing who would not go far in life and would never be able to build a Casa de los Azulejos. The son, reportedly, immediately changed his life and promised to become hard-working and to restore the Blue Palace and cover the outside with beautiful tiles. He did, and the building was renamed the House of Tiles.

Aaaaand of course we did a shoot trying to do some rope patterns that will compliment the model and the environment , as always =) Thanks to beautiful Derlina, posing in the middle of the city and dealing with all the nearby fans lol
