Even though this wasn't my favorite of his, it's incredible how David Fincher's work with musical artists like Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle are also a reflection of his talent when it comes to directing in addition to filmmaking. I'm still impressed, and I look forward to seeing what he has coming next.

Fun fact: The actor who played Dustin is Joseph Mazzello, Tim from Jurassic Park. Also the Winklevoss twins are actually played by one actor.

I was surprised when you called Andrew underrated because he’s a 2x Oscar nominee for Hacksaw Ridge (2016) & Tick Tick Boom (2021) lol but he was so good in this. This performance should’ve been his first Oscar nomination. Hope to see Hacksaw Ridge on the channel one day. Think you would love that one.

This is my favorite Fincher film. A director I otherwise don’t like. It’s the rare biopic that doesn’t glorify its subject and actually portrays Zuckerberg as the asshole he is.

Zuckerberg doesn’t like this film and called it hurtful. Which is why the film is so great and important.

Sean Parker started Napster (sort of like iTunes), a file sharing app that allowed people to illegally download and share music. Everybody except musicians LOVED Napster. Peter Thiel, a gay man, is the co-founder of PayPal and helped the current Vice President, JD Vance, get to where he is today. I disliked Zuckerberg so much after this movie. BTW, you might enjoy watching Alpha Dog (2006), the first movie I ever saw Justin Timberlake act in.

The advertising interviewer at 1 hour, 5 mins is actually Aaron sorkin the screenwriter. You said that fincher movies always have great dialogue, while that’s true…. The amazing dialogue here is because of Aaron sorkin. Sorkin is generally considered one of the best screenwriters ever. He also wrote: A few good men, West wing, studio 60 on the sunset strip, newsroom, moneyball, Charlie Wilson’s war, Steve Jobs. Recently he’s started directing his own works, so far he’s made Mollys game, the trial of the chigago 7 and being the richardos.

For the first 4 seasons of the west wing, Aaron sorkin basically wrote all the scripts himself or did rewrite work on other people’s scripts. That’s unheard of in the tv industry. Writers don’t write that much. Sorkin says the work load of the west wing is why he became a crack cocaine addict.
