It's so interesting how the finale of season 4 was sad because it was heartbreaking and a very unhappy ending, yet this finale is kind of sad for the opposite reason, cos it is kind of a happy ending. The balance of the show is so good!

One other probable reason Deb let the 'vigilantes' go was because she's thinking Chase was killed by the woman he had in the trunk of his car. Watching those video tapes AGAIN, and now seeing the actual torture room made her decide to allow them to leave. I honestly don't remember if Lumen shows up again in the future. I'm glad they didn't kill off her character. This is the second time Quinn felt indebted to Dexter. The first time was when Dexter didn't report Quinn for stealing money at a crime scene.

Another season down! I joined your Patreon just to watch your Dexter reactions during season 3 and since then I kinda been binging. Love your work, can't wait till the next season starts! Fun fact anyway, Lumen is the only living person in the show who knows what Dexter does and who he is now going into season 6, besides Harrison who is too young to understand or remember what Dexter keeps telling him. 5 seasons down and only one who found out and lived to tell the tale is kinda wild. I'm not including blind Jimmy, the voodoo guy who ran off in season 3, cos he never saw a thing and doesn't know Dexter.

I have been loving watching you watch Dexter! It's my favourite show of all time! Personally season 5 is one of my favourites. I also watched The Punisher Season 2 for the first time this year and i remember thinking it was very similar to Dexter Season 5. The main Character meets a younger woman in need at the start of the season, then the first part he is trying to get her to leave. In the end of the season they more join up as a team and the Main Character starts to care about her and wanting to help her. (Obviously with Dexter it turned into a romance, and With Frank Castle its different.) I was wondering if you had the same toughts, or if someone else had it!
