You usually point out when you recognize an actor from something else but I'm guessing you never watched "Chuck" or you would know who Yvonne Strahovsky (Hannah) is. Great show by the way. Hilarious!

I agree about the Lewis character. What I read somewhere is that they had plans for him but MCH actually disliked the actor so they changed the arc. Might not be true, who knows?

Apparently Louis was definitely planned to have a much bigger role in the story but season 7 changed a lot of things. He was certainly going to have some kind of connection to Brian Moser. I even heard someone say Louis was gonna be Dexter's 2nd secret brother 💀💀💀 Definitely glad nothing like that happened

The actor who plays Louis said on the Dissecting Dexter podcast that he got a great opportunity to star on Broadway for a longer period of time (if I remember correctly). It was a dream job and he ended his work on Dexter earlier than planned. His character should have had a bigger arch than how it turned out. I think he was originally meant to be the main villain of this season.

I keep promising myself to watch the Chuck series; mostly because it has Zachary Levi and Adam Baldwin in it. So many other well known actors made appearances on that show. Timothy Dalton (James Bond), Matt Bomer (American Horror Story), Scott Bakula (Star Trek, Quantaum Leap), Brandon Routh (Superman), Linda Hamilton (Terminator), Tony Todd (Final Destination), Carrie-Anne Moss (Matrix, Jessica Jones).

Speltzer and his horned helmet in the maze was a reference to the Minotaur in the Labyrinth at Crete. As a debt for the death of his son in a tournament in Athens, King Minos of Crete demanded a sacrifice of 7 virgins from Athens at the end of every great year, who would be released into the labyrinth, where they would fall prey to the half-man, half-bull Minotaur. The sacrificial tradition was only ended when Theseus, the son of the Athenian King, and legendary Greek hero, volunteered himself as a sacrifice to enter the labyrinth, with the goal of slaying the Minotaur. Minos’s daughter had fallen in love with Theseus, and gave him a spool of golden thread to leave a trail in the labyrinth so he could find his way out (1 oz. of gold can make a wire a mile long). The labyrinth was so notoriously complex that even its builder, Daedalus, barely managed to find his way out upon completing its construction. Eventually, Theseus slayed the Minotaur and escaped the labyrinth.

The writers originally intended Louis to be a copy cat serial killer to the BHB, but MCH didn't want that. He said that 1 serial killer in Miami Metro was enough, lol. So they made him a character that was obsessed with Dexter.
