I used to use Vimeo to upload Full Reactions, then switched to the Patreon Video Player because of feedback from Patrons who said Vimeo didn't work as well for them. But now, the Patreon Video Player is having some issues for viewers (even for other channels)

Pretty much all of these issues are completely out of my control and are up to Vimeo and Patreon to better update their platforms so they work properly. A lot of these bugs seem to be random and unpredictable, but definitely fixable on their end.

I just wanted to ask which one you prefer? It is possible for me to do both, but I want to see what preference you have (if any). Doing both would be much harder to do and would cost me a lot, but if they results are that close then I might do it, we'll see.

Every reactor I am subscribed to uses Patreon player now. Before, it wasn't so good, and a lot of them used 3rd party video players. But nowadays I don't know a single one who isn't just uploading on here. If you want to be more accessible to your fans, I like the idea of including a Vimeo link in the caption like you did with the recent Dexter episode

and to address the Patreon player issues, they are definitely present and affect multiple channels, but I'm sure it'll be fixed soon. Regardless, it's a perfect example of why having Vimeo as a backup is great,

That’s a great idea, upload directly to Patreon and then just post a Vimeo link as well? If only one is an option I never really have problems with the videos posted directly on Patreon.

vimeo as a backup is my suggestion for the people who want to use it. I use to watch ur vids on my tv but because it's paetron player I watch it on my phone now.

I think it would be fire for people to have choice if it's possible to you without any troubles. I didn't like patreon player before stutters because you can't select the quality and sometimes video becomes a pixelated mess for no reason, watching Dexter 8x2 now on Vimeo, works good but requires age verification and registration to watch, which is sad.

I normally don't have playback issues with your uploads besides the Dexter season 7 finale and the latest episode. I do appreciate having a Vimeo link as a backup when that happens, but I realize it might be a hassle to have to regularly upload to two sites.

I have watched reactions from you on both, and will again no matter which you choose. I'm sorry for those experiencing issues, normally the patreon player is just fine it was only in the last few Dexter episodes that there was a problem for me really and it was still watchable, just frustrating. Whichever works for you, maybe both is a good idea?

Unsure, but Vimeo may be an issue because it seems to glitch a fair bit which is a bummer. it doesn't happen with the other 2 patreons I follow or YouTube or any streamers.It only happens with your videos. Just being honest.

All though i really don't like vimeo but my suggestion is to post it originally on patreon then if you see some comments say that they have a problem then put a Vimeo link as a backup

Im subscribed at least 8-10 patreons accounts. Your videos glitch consistently like every video ..since it was just yours I assumed it was my internet. But now knowing it's bugs .I wonder why it doesn't happen elsewhere.. I never have any problem with my across the pond ppl that use vimeo. Never had a problem with the patron player on anyone else's..well except one person I'll press play and it stays on the thumbnail until I refresh the page but the glitches n your vid are really becoming a problem I always have to skip ahead little and miss vital discussion from you . That sucks with the finale episodes especially, so I hope you figure it out for u specifically I say use Vimeo

Then that means patrons will get the videos at different times ... one first and then the ppl who complain have to wait for there comments to be seen then a video posted ..Doing that all the time could cause problems

I'm speaking with Patreon support at the moment, hoping they can figure out a fix, but yeah like it's definitely not something I can fix on my end because my video files look completely fine before uploading them to Patreon. And the issue seems to be very inconsistent. I don't notice an issue on my end for like vast majority of my videos, but I did notice it for the recent Dexter one.

I had a lot more problems with your videos on Vimeo, the Patreon video player still has some hiccups here and there but overall 10x easier to use.

My laptop is always hooked up to my TV. So no matter which player he uses, I can always view on my home theater system.

Two of the moments I can currently remember the video freezing was the finale of S7. One was just before Deb shot Laguerta, the other was near the end when the fireworks were going off. There were others but I can't remember them all.

Was able to get more information regarding this issue from the internet. It sounds like the problem could be caused by very specific render settings I am using that most likely doesn't align well with Patreon's video player (these settings work just fine for YouTube and Vimeo though). This is honestly an issue Patreon should fix themselves because these setting should work for any video player, but I will try to experiment with different settings to make sure the encoding works and prevents any freezes. Most likely this won't be a quick fix since I don't know what settings to change, so until then, I will use both Vimeo and Patreon. But please everyone keep me updated on if more issues present themselves. Let me know whenever videos have freezing moments and at what points (or how often in the video)

patreon was working just fine until a few videos ago. definitely better than vimeo until the issues came up. but otherwise patreon has been good tbh

You could upload to Patreon for viewing and also as a downloadable file, so if there's an issue with the player we can just download the video file and use whatever media player we usually would.
