More emotional distress incoming

Dylan

Attack on Depression is what this show should’ve been called for how much of an emotional roller coaster it is, and that decision between Erwin and Armin is chaotic people went absolutely berserk over it. And another thing Erwin I feel wanted to die as a human and not die as a Titan shifter

OmgAlphaDog

Yup u basically got it right armin had so much more in his dreams while erwins was basically about to be finished.

Btw ep 19 has a post credit scene

When I first watched this ep it was 3AM and I figured this was a good stopping point for the night. That was until I made the mistake of glancing at the title for the next episode 💀

Devastating episode. Its effects still echo to this day, people never stop debating which is the right choice. As for Levi, I think from his perspective, it was more about letting Erwin rest rather than simply choosing Armin over Erwin. We learned for a while that the driving force for Erwin throughout his life was his selfish goal of realizing his father's dream, to the point he stated it was more important to him than humanity's victory. But when the time came and the situation was dire, a choice had to be made, retreat or give up your life and dreams for a slim chance at victory, Erwin chose humanity. You can see at the end he was finally at peace and thanked Levi, so to bring him back after finally being let go of that burden is cruel. I personally think Levi made an emotional choice to let his friend rest after fighting for so long, carrying an unfathomable amount of burden and guilt over his dead comrades.

Banketo

I like to think Levi realized that Erwin was almost wholly motivated to keep going just to prove his father's theory right. Without that motivation, Erwin was for the most part a very haunted individual driven to do horrible things to achieve his "selfish" goal. Which I think that's how he himself viewed it despite his goals being aligned with whats best for humanity. Armin on the other hand had dreams beyond this, that's why we were seeing these scenes of Kenny "everyone is a slave to something to keep pushing on".

Halima

You’re right on the money about why Levi chose Armin. Beyond wanting to let Erwin rest, despite Erwin being the face of the symbol of humanity’s hope (the Scouts), Armin truly embodies that hope. He sees beyond the fighting and the hate and has hope for a free future.

Halima

Lowkey don’t think he’s ready for the next two episodes 🙂‍↔️

One of the greatest 3 episode runs ever completed 🙏 still more peak to come even these last episodes of the season are so good

James Payne

I can't possibly fathom how storytelling this good exists. A whole episode with just dialogue, barely any music til the end, the most peak voice acting and emotion... WOW.

Ethan9888
