Aot is very similar to twd where it starts off a show about people vs monsters, but then becomes people vs people. I didnt really like twd turning into that but I love what aot became. Twd just needed to somehow keep zombies a threat cause even aot couldn't keep pure titans a threat they needed titan shifters who could turn into titans to keep titans threatening

aot is one of those works that is even better upon a second viewing. I’m not saying a rewatch is strictly necessary, but the fact that it holds up so well proves just how phenomenal the dialogue was from the very start. At first, certain ideas might have seemed ordinary because the author hadn't fully emphasized them yet; however, once you finish the series and look back, you realize everything was planned from the beginning. The ideas embedded in the dialogue were powerful all along, though they are truly understood only by those who have fully experienced the story. If you immerse yourself in the work, you’ll grasp that depth and appreciate its strength. Plus, you’ll really enjoy the foreshadowing; I’ve seen many people remark that this series is the best out there when it comes to hinting at future events.

Exactly this! Even little parallels like how Eren is treated after becoming the first known titan shifter (being used as a weapon and people wanting him killed) reflecting the way Eldians are seen by the rest of the world.

Its not really a hot take that every season is better than the last but not everyone agrees. Alot of people say s3 is the best while others say that s1 is above s2 but after every season is better than the others. I also agree that the show gets better wjth every season especially on rewatches

I remember back when this episode came out they only released half of it because while it aired in Japan an earthquake happened, which caused them to interrupt the broadcast, I believe. Honestly all of season 4 felt like such a long, hard journey. Watching the episodes week by week made everything feel so insanely slow that I'm honestly surprised at how fast the pacing of season 4 is when rewatching/seeing reactions

A good comparison because I love how AOT basically made titans themselves obsolete by season 4. They're no longer a threat at all on Paradis Island. But in TWD they go to extremely unrealistic lengths to keep walkers a constant threat in the show. From a storytelling and worldbuilding standpoint I would genuinely have preferred if walkers were phased out of the show by some point, having it become a purely human vs human story. Because based on TWD's logic, walkers should have gone basically extinct after like 10 years max, similar to how the comics handled it at the end with them being so rare that people can live without fear of them
