HP/DXD: A Lords Goals - Prologue
- Yes, I want more! 3
- No, wasted my time! 0
AN- was going through my old google docs and found this Idea and decided to write the prologue.
Same as my other story. The MC was reborn into a new world and was blinded with what was right in front of him and completely missed the wider supernatural world. PS. not a portal story. Just expanding on evil pieces and what Ajuka should have done with them.
What do you guys think? Does it have potentials? Should I write more? Please be aware that it will probably be a side project if I do start.
DisclaimerI'm dead broke, thus I own very few things and most of them are being paid off, so I definitely don't own anything recognizable in this story. All rights go to their respective owners. I'm just looking for something to take my mind off everything else in my life.
Prologue
If I could offer advice to any reincarnators, isekai characters, dimensional travelers or even those not yet in a new world but stuck in the void.
Find yourself a goal worth putting all your effort into—something that will finally push you to take risks and seize opportunities.
A clear goal will help you achieve far more than simply drifting with the flow. It will drive you, sustain you, and help you survive, because most of the worlds we end up in are dangerous yet brimming with potential for a truly fulfilling life.
So my question to all of you reading this is: if you had the opportunity to reincarnate into your favorite fictional world, what would your goal be? What would you want to achieve?
Your goal could be anything—from becoming a god with infinite power to simply living a peaceful life long enough to watch your grandchildren play while you sit in a rocking chair, watching the sunset.
My own goal is actually a blend of both extremes—and much more.First, I want to achieve immortality. Having experienced death once before, I fear it far more than anything else.
Second, I want strength so I can live freely. In my last life, I was a “yes-man,” just doing what I was told to get by. The thought of living like that again terrifies me even more than death.
Third, I want wealth— at least enough that I never have to answer to anyone else again.
Fourth and final, I want a harem. I know I know, how cliche, But the heart wants what it wants and I've always been a closet pervert that just couldn't do anything about it.
These four goals and the hope for being reincarnated is what drove me when I was stuck in the void before I was reborn.
When I woke up in this world six years ago (going on seven) I already had one of my four goals completed for me and another that was half completed.
As an orphaned heir to an Ancient and noble house in the magical world of Harry Potter, I automatically acquired everything that came with that status, wealth, authority in the magical world and even enough money to never have to work, enough to do as I pleased.
The amount of wealth I inherited was more than enough to satisfy my goal of wealth and has made it easier in my goal to achieve the other three.
As for my fiance, this body's mother, before she got herself killed in the same incident that allowed me to take over this body, betrothed me to her best friend's daughter that was just a few weeks older than me.
The young girl in question is both a gorgeous and extremely talented witch, making my job of acquiring my first harem member significantly easier. The only problem being that she takes too much after her aunt Bellatrix Lestrange, well the Bellatrix my future mother-in-law told me about before Voldemort got his claws into the witch.
Wild, talented, Dark haired witch just dangerous enough to be sexy without it being off putting. All traits my Dear Yennefer shares, If only she didn't share a last name with that ponce Malfoy, both the older and younger version, she would be perfect.
How Aunt Narcissa ended up in that family I'll never know. A puzzle for another time I guess, as today I'm on a mission.
You see, this morning I received a letter from one Borgin of Borgin and Burkes. Borgin and Birkes specialise in dark arts and dangerous magical items. Items banned by most Magical Governments, especially the British Magical Ministry, who frankly would ban wands if there wouldn't be a revolt that would follow. Making the store the perfect helper in accomplishing my goals, And Borgin has gone out of his way to acquire two especially hard to find items for me.
I stood before the full-length mirror, adjusting the cuffs of my crisp white shirt before reaching for the main event.
On the stand beside me lay a bespoke piece I had commissioned months ago, a cloak designed not just for utility, but to leave an impression.
I picked it up, feeling the weight and rich texture of the fabric. It was crafted from deep, light-absorbing silk, woven with magic to make it almost completely silent as it moved. I draped it over my shoulders and smoothed down the front, turning to inspect the reflection.
Damn. I couldn't help the smirk that tugged at my lips.
The craftsmanship was absolute perfection. Running along the seams, subtle yet strikingly intricate silver thread traced ancient runes of protection and stealth. In the soft light, the embroidery gleamed like liquid moonlight against the pitch-black fabric. It framed my physique brilliantly, giving me the presence of an enigmatic lord of the dark without looking tacky or gaudy. The tailor had outdone himself; every Knut spent was worth it.
Satisfied with the aesthetic, I reached up and pulled the deep hood over my head.
The second the fabric settled around my face, the enchantments etched into the collar and lining instantly sprang to life with a faint glow.
In the mirror, my face melted into absolute darkness. The light inside the hood seemed to simply cease to exist, replaced by a dense, shifting veil of shadows that obscured every single feature. Then, right where my eyes should have been, two piercing, luminescent orbs of brilliant silver light ignited through the gloom.
I would have gone with red to mimic a sharingan or something but it would defeat the point of hiding my features as my eyes are red, unfortunately not a sharingan but I can dream, a rare colour eye even in the magical world and when im already hinting at my silver hair with the stitching, rather play it safe.
"Let's see if the voice modulator works," I murmured.
When I spoke, my normal seventeen-year-old voice was entirely gone. What came out from beneath the hood was a deep, gravelly baritone that vibrated through the air, reverberating with a subtle, chilling echo that would send a shiver down the spine of even the most hardened dark wizard.
"Perfect," the shadowy figure in the mirror echoed back, its glowing eyes narrowing slightly in amusement.
With wealth, style, and a touch of theatrical terror, I was more than ready to pay Mr. Borgin a visit.
