You have spoken, so now let's get down to what exactly we want!

You have chosen the Pirate Port as the Patron Map of the Month, so this is your opportunity to suggest/request whatever features that map may hold, which would be useful to you. My instinct is to have something involving a docked boat, some kind of tavern, some shops and dwellings perched about the edge of an island.

What would you most like to see depicted?

One of those dwellings needs a secret door to the black market or extra super duper illegal goods :-) or in an alley or something Also if you don’t use palm trees in every variant it’ll allow it to fit into more settings Great work

One or two boats at the docks and maybe even a sunken ruin or a wreck.

I'd like to suggest a pirate port would be more of a (jungle) island bay than a full blown town. I'm thinking more of a pirate camp they go to hide/bury treasure, with a cave, lagoon, hideout/campground; versus a small town/dock district. I'm thinking of somewhere the players might show up to try to take the pirates unaware, or perhaps themselves be caught out at while looking for the pirate's treasure. I suggest this because I don't have anything like that, and there are already a lot of "town docks" out there. Just my two cents!

Thanks for the great suggestion! I think where this one is going, so far, is a bit of a mixture between the two ideas. It's not a large town, but it's not just a secluded jungle cove for one particular pirate ship. It's more of a place that pirates (or anyone granted entry) can call safe harbor. Secluded, protected, with a large fort up on a hill (probably a 2nd map later this month), and then the docks and what not down on the lower end. My thought was to have a place that could start as a beginning area for players, be a location they had to meet an informant, track down a thief, barter with the locals, steal a ship, recover a ship, rescue a friend, escape from capture, etc... What you're describing also sounds good though, and doable, and I will probably see about trying to make that, as well, sometime this month! =)

I am happy to report, Jim, that the map contains 2 ships at port (one large, one small) and a sunken vessel.
