This is where I'm at with the Forest Dungeon, thus far, and I numbered the main areas to see what ideas you may have for those regions. I'm happy to come up with my own ideas, but I thought I'd open it up to you guys, in case there are any specific encounters and/or features you would like to see represented that I can try and integrate.

Feel free to toss out anything you have in mind!

Best,

Jeff

Oooo what if 1 was like a temple/shrine/hunting lodge of Silvannus or hunting based deity.

I like it. Could have some overgrown statue(s) and/or shrine, and perhaps some kind of themed encounter there related to the hunt. Or something dark there you need to oust, in order to get the deity's access to the location restored. Maybe vines/roots block progress past a certain point until it is restored.

Or even a proving grounds type deal.

I'll try to go in order: 1) Tree Elves/Druid outpost, probably hidden from view unless the players succeed a perception check. Maybe they are tasked with burning it down or cutting it down because it's in the way of some build project and for some reason all other groups have mysteriously had all their tools rust or vanished in the night. If the team is good they may opt to either run away to keep the secret safe or go and fight the corrupt people running the build project. Neutral or Evil may opt to maybe fight the people living there or join up with them to steal money from the project owners. 2) Small outpost for observation post that alerts the main base of approaching bandits/foresters/etc. 11) Useful choke point if needed. Could also be collapsing since the people of the forest tend to go via a treeline bridge. 14) Rapids that crash most boats onto rocks and go to underground tunnels. One goes through the mountain one goes to an underground cavern and one goes to a waterfall and death.

It would be interesting to see an overgrown shrine somewhere in there. Also making one of the areas a mossy one would spice things up a it, it's a bit bland right now with grass all over the place.
