I tried not to stereotype Grandpa, but please yell at me if I do so; originally I wrote Esh as mixed heritage because I wanted to include more spiritual references in dialogue and reference a variety of cultures, but I realized I was in over my head trying to pull it all together and also, as a white person, probably tromping around in stuff that wasn't my business. But I really liked the version of his father so I kept his Native/Indian ancestry. Trying to handle it carefully without being appropriative~
