Cabo Blue — Erin (Patreon)

Cabo is one of those places that almost feels fake until you’re actually standing in it. You’ve got desert cliffs, dry heat, and then somehow right in front of you—perfect water, waves rolling in, and light that just hits different. Before this trip, I’d never really experienced a beach in the middle of a desert like that, and it completely changes how you see a location.
What’s funny about this set is we didn’t go chasing a bunch of different spots. We pretty much stayed in the same stretch of beach the whole time. But it never felt repetitive. The light shifts fast out there—especially during golden hour—and that alone gives you a completely different look day to day. Then you layer in small changes—pose, angle, how much water you bring into the frame—and suddenly it feels like a whole new shoot.
This one leaned into that warm, low sun. I kept everything simple—no overthinking it. Let the light wrap, let the water add texture, and just worked around Erin’s movement. The shots in the water have that natural distortion and reflection that you really can’t fake, and it adds just enough chaos to balance out how clean the scene is.
