Golden Country with Alabama (Patreon)
Content
This set with Alabama was shot on the way up toward Prescott. Arizona is crazy because the scenery changes constantly — one minute you’re surrounded by desert rock and cactus, then suddenly you come across these massive golden fields that almost don’t even feel real.
The colors out there are what always pull me in. The warm grass against the deep blue sky, the black hat and boots, all the tattoo detail — everything just worked together naturally without needing much added to it.
The field itself almost acted like a giant reflector, throwing soft warm light back into the images even in the middle of the day. That’s one of the things I love most about shooting in Arizona. Even harsh light can turn cinematic depending on the environment around you.
It’s honestly a dream place to shoot because every drive feels like you’re finding another completely different world.
